Course Description

If you want to be a real pro C# coder, you need to master your keyboard and Visual Studio. You need to be able to navigate in your code base, find and modify code in seconds. Great coders hardly ever use the mouse. They do everything with the keyboard. They use shortcuts and some tricks to type less and generate more code in less time. And that is what this course is all about.

In this course, Mosh, author of six 5-star C# courses, shares with you lots of shortcuts and tricks that help you find, write and modify code in less time.

In particular, you'll learn
  • How to quickly find files, classes and methods. Say goodbye to Solution Explorer and navigating between folders to find classes.
  • How to navigate in the code like a pro: no more clicking back and forth to navigate between members of classes. Jump from one method to another and come back to where you were.

  • How to compile, run and debug applications faster and more effectively.
  • 60+ shortcuts that will boost your productivity (both on Windows and Mac)
  • How to reduce your chance of getting RSI (repetitive strain injury)

Ideal Student
This course is most suited to junior C# developers new to Visual Studio. But even if you've been programming in Visual Studio for a few years, you may still learn tips and tricks that you're not aware of. There is a whole section dedicated to ReSharper, which is one of the greatest plug-ins for Visual Studio. If you've never used ReSharper before, this course is a must for you.

Full Money-back Guarantee

This course comes with a 30-day full money-back guarantee. No questions asked. If you don't learn anything from this course, ask for a refund within 30 days. All your money back.

For what it is, it's a very comprehensive course in explaining a load of keyboard shortcuts and methods for increasing speed and efficiency in visual studio.... I'll be honest, I probably would have gotten as much from just googling for them but, at the 10$ price, it was nice to have them shown and explained rather than experimenting to figure it out on my own and possibly missing something. Totally worth two Starbuck Lattes. :) If you think this sounds like a negative review, I would explain I have another of Mosh's courses and it is phenomenal which is the only reason I bought this one. It is exactly as I had expected.

Great pacing and covered many shortcuts I had no idea were there, even after using VS for years. Resharper discussion alone was worth the price.

The explanation is really good. The presentation is good and clear. This is really helpful to learn shortcut in visual studio. Keep the good work

Very concise and straight to the point. I combined these shortcuts with web and windows shortcuts and I am confident I can be mouse free for over 90% of my needs at work .

This has incredibly increase my coding speed. But most importantly not actually using the mouse. These shortcuts helps, not only when you developing. Even on other text editors some of the shortcuts work perfectly. Thank you Mosh. This was really helpful

I could learn what I expected and it was great. Some videos were not matching with the source codes and it took some time for me to find out the code comment was the latest resource by myself. If it was written in the video etc, the rating could be even higher.

Excellent course, provided some really valuable information in a very professional and well presented course. Mosh is an excellent instructor and I'm sure that this course will save you a lot of time in development. I would highly recommend you take this course if you use Visual Studio! Thanks Mosh!

This course differs from others Mosh courses. First part is about classical hot keys works in most editors and could be shorter. Another part about ReSharper is almost explained in documentation. There are a book about VS (Microsoft press) explained this IDE as mighty editor, and I expected something about that. In my personal opinion, course could be much better with complete useful code snippets included.

I liked the presenter guy. He has good voice, speaks nicely, keeps fine pace and explains things well. The first part of the course was very good, but I missed a few things like F12 or shift+F12 etc.. Also the code snippet section could have been more detailed. The VCS and ReSharper sections were a little bit too specific things for me. If you are not able to use these tools for some reason, these topics give you not so much.Overall I was satisfied with course. If it covered more topics and was longer, it would be easily 5 star.

By Pavel Gavrilov on 3 months ago

Very useful even for advanced users of VisualStudio and ReSharperI hope, it will be updated soon to the latest versions of VisualStudio, ReShaper and to Team Explorer with git / Azure Repo instead on VCS

Incredible tips that every developer needs to know .. Mosh as always.. Perfect

This class is good, but if you've taken other classes from Mosh, you'll realize most of the topics are covered, and this lecture doesn't cover all the shortcuts in other classes. Also, the lecture time is not true, 42 minutes for the pdf summary? It's still a useful class, just probably could be better.
