ACTUAL STUDENT REVIEW

Brilliant course, Excellently taught For anybody who doesn't know the math of poker it is like you are simply guessing at what you are doing. I have often wondered how much maths are involved in poker but have never bothered to investigate this. When I saw this course on Udemy I immediately thought that is a must for me as I was one of these guessing Poker players. Having watched a lot of poker on various TV channels in the UK Some of them have said , "you don't need to know much maths to be reasonable." So I watched a couple of episodes from them which covered the the rudimentary's but having watched this course now I have realised that I was playing with both hands tied behind my back. I am now itching to do more of Altons courses and then possibly getting some tuition from him in the very near future. Top course Alton!" Keith

Simply a solid course. Great info, great instruction, and very thorough.

I like the course a lot. Yet, I've been applying the concepts to my games and I'm losing more than I ever had before. Is this a common learning curve? To do poorly until the math becomes second nature.

By Peter Knight on 7/6/2020

This is a really clear, easy to understand course for beginners, or newbies. Math is not complex. Feel the real challenge is going to be internalizing it - so a set of exercises would be a useful addition to the course

really precise but detailed course. I strongly advise this course to beginners or players who want to understand the roots of basic strategic moves for both preflop and postflop.

Great course. This is my second course bought from Alton and it helps tremendously with reinforcing poker fundamentals and getting better at the game. I can strongly recommend it.

Was hard to wrap my head around the formulas but I get it now after this lecture. My theory is more or less solid but my technical skill is lacking. So thanks for the good course and I will consider doing more courses that are available.

The course is extremely well explained and the teacher is great. I think the only problem is Udemy policy about subtitles, for me, a non-native english speaker it's a little hard to understand (And as you can see there it's also a little hard to explain myself correctly too :D )some concepts there. I will really appreciate if Udemy extends the possibility of having, at least, english subtitles, to every course in this beautiful platform!!

Sitting in front of a computer screen and lust listening is very difficult to maintain energy. Participation of drills or exercises after each section seems to be beneficial in that it keeps the student alert as well as reinforces what was just taught.
Thank you

Yes it was! Everything seems to be very helpful.
