Course Description

Also known as paint pouring, flow art, liquid art.
etc.

Is a form of abstract art that uses acrylic paints with a runny (fluid)consistency. The acrylic paints react with each other when combined together to make interesting and visually organic motifs. This type of art is fun for all ages. Fluid acrylics can be used on many types of substrates and in many different forms such as pouring, dripping, swirling, glazing, dipping and many other effects. Fluid art opens up a lot of possibilities and is definitely worth exploring and adding to your artist tool belt. In this course I will teach you everything you will need to become a paint pouring artist. I will share with you:* Please Note! If you like a lot of talking this course may not be for you. When I create art I get in a trance like state and talking interrupts my flow. I do some voice over introductions and descriptions here and there but this course is heavy on visual content. I do a lot of pop ups on the screen that are full of helpful information and descriptions and I supply you with written resources as well.

How to set up your paint pouring studio on a budgetcomplete supplies listshare all the techniques that I use like; dirty pour flip cup, puddle pours, pre-lift slide technique, open cylinder, ribbon pour, swipe technique and more.

I will show you how to properly handle and care for your art

I will show you how to protect your artwork

The bonus section will have plenty of resources to refer to with information about mixing ratios, paint density and more

I will also share with you many techniques I use to embellish the work to give it even more visual appeal

I will show you how to price

And tips on where to sell your masterpiece!

Its filled in knowledge gaps so far.
I love all the different techniques. Just hoping I get to see them all dry in the end. Really want to see the finished product.

Great courses, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and experience!

Yes this course was very helpful with my pouring techniques. I purchased the book Mastering Fluid art before signing up for the course.

This class felt more like a YouTube video sadly. It didnt feel professional at all. There was a lot of background car noises and a few times in the video there was a women in the background. One time she said Ugh, youre a pain in the ass. It felt like this was from someone who just decided to make a video, not an actual class.

As a beginner to acrylic pouring, I found the content of this course very good. I would have liked to have seen some large pours as that is what I am working towards...large impressive works to demonstrate what can be done. I found the resource material excellent for reference and I enjoyed the fact that the instructor demonstrated more of what he was doing rather than going on and on verbally. Definitely got my moneys worth for taking this course. Well done Rick!

Wanted to explore other methods of painting to use in my backgrounds for collages.

This is a great course for beginners since it covers lots of basics. But more advanced students will also benefit because there are so many techniques covered in the lectures.

Yes it was a good match. It is giving me the basics which is just what i need. Wow, after watching this I realize that I have learned enough to inspire me! In between sections of the course I went out and got whatever supplies that were not already in my studio. Now I am ready to go. Great course!
