I'm a simple person, I see tutorial by Mr. Brent, I buy, hehe.
It's just how good his teachings are; very concise and easy to follow. This is the best course on basic shading so far that I've come across, very recommended ?

I tried learning shading from youtube but I found all the tutorials which I looked into to be very confusing for me.
The course is very well designed it is a step-by-step process. The course will surely take more than one week but its totally worth it.

It was a good learning experience.

This prerequisite course forms the basic foundation for all the additional drawing courses that I will be taking. I learned a lot about shadows, light, shapes, and values. Prior to this course I had a little experience with drawing, but no understanding of the rules and measurements. This has improved my drawing ability and knowledge significantly. Good class. Teacher went at a good pace and allowed for time to practice what I learned. Thank you.

It was truly amazing how the process of observation and drawing have been broken down and explained in detail. Certainly worth following, thanks.

Despite this course being short it is very descriptive with the process of shading.

Never knew shading was such a complicated subject ! brent is an amazing teacher who break the subject and explains so anybody can understand.

By Aldric Mouget on 4/26/2020

As usual Brent proceeds in a very didactic way. Clear explanations and a step by step approach allow a fast understanding of the shading process key points. Very much enjoyable.

I have been drawing and sketching for a very long time and had a fair amount of idea about shading through observation and self-practice. But, after this course, my whole perspective on the shading process has got a completely new angle and I have learnt so much through this course. Well-structured and well-taught course videos help a lot to learn easily. Thank you Brent Eviston.

By Ania Lichszteld on 8/12/2020

Absolutely brilliant! I've seen or read about 5 values and shading before but never seen it being stripped down to steps and basics like that making it so easy and clear to understand how it works. Thank you!
