Hi! I'm Rob. I have a degree in Mathematics from Cambridge University and you might call me a bit of coding geek.
After building websites for friends and family for fun, I soon learned that web development was a very lucrative career choice. I gave up my successful (and sometimes stressful) job as a teacher to work part time and today, couldn't be happier.
I'm passionate about teaching kids to code, so every summer I run Code School in the beautiful city of Cambridge. I also run the popular web hosting and design service, Eco Web Hosting which leaves me free to share my secrets with people like you.
You wouldn't believe the freedom that being a web developer offers. Sign up and find out for yourself why so many people are taking and recommending this course. I genuinely believe it's the best on the market and if you don't agree, I'll happily refund your money.
Sign up to my courses and join me in this amazing adventure today. Hi! I'm Nick, and Ilove to code. About five years ago I decided that I wanted to learn to code, but I had limited access to programming resources, and I was getting frustrated with all of the YouTube videos and online tutorials out there. I experimented, struggled, and definitely failed a lot, but I finally got the hang of it, so I decided that I wanted to change the way that people learned to code, and I started teaching. My experience as an online student has directly influenced my teaching style, because I know wha

One of the best courses to learn Android app development. It's more than enough to land a decent job as an android developer.

First I wanted to learn Android development by watching YouTube videos. But I couldn't really find a playlist which satisfied me (most of the time the quality was really bad). So, I googled for some Android courses and I found this one at a very discounted price. I was a bit sceptic but damn! This course definitely surpassed my expectation! You don't only learn how to create the Android app but you get also advice on how you should proceed when building your own app, how you can publish the app, how you market it. THESE additions are what made the course surpass my expectation. Rob and Nick also give you a quick insight to relatively new stuff like Augmented Realty. So, for a starter course I can definitely recomend it.They only thing that I missed in this course is the topic "fragments"@Rob and Nick: I would be really glad if you created an advanced course where we learn stuff that goes a little bit deeper. Things like creating our own Backend. :D

Nice course, shame about some problems that can happen in the chapter dedicated to the AWS (a chapter dedicated to client/server functions would be convenient), but all in all I found myself well and the teachers are also nice.

Enjoyed the course and learnt a lot. Big issue with the Parse starter though. Getting it to work was a hassle. Needs to be updated to match the latest Android Studio 3.5 version.

As a total beginner in Android development, I really enjoyed this course. Both Rob and Nick explain topics very good and let student do their work also. Course has some old topics too, but with some google'ing they are not a problem to work with.I definitely suggest this course and I hope to see new courses soon!!!

It is an amazing course which covers all the topic on app development. I have a query in data fetching from sites we use try and catch method what happens when the internet cuts after some data fetching here some of data may be fetch and we not get any exception

This course is... just OK. It will get you a quick understanding of the basics of what's available in android development. However, it by no means, as it suggests, a "complete" android course. After completing it you will need to study a lot more on issues this course should cover. One example is understanding what an activity is, and its lifecycle.Somewhere around the 3rd listview (out of dozens) you'll implement throughout this course you'll start wondering why are you using something from the 'legacy' section of android studio, and why hasn't this course refreshed itself since it has become so (as many other reviewers here have mentioned).I would also recommend anyone considering taking this course to only do so with a solid understanding of java, since this course will try to show you java, but it will do so badly. Never repeatedly append to a string using '+=' if it's more operations than you can count with your fingers. If your IDE is showing you a warning, check what it is and don't simply ignore it. Don't use static members to communicate between classes. The list can go on, but I hope you get the picture. Study Java elsewhere, so you won't acquire bad coding habits.

Thanks for providing this course ! . The course is very useful for beginner to advance level. I m android app developer but this course leads me from intermediate to expert level. Learned a lot of things. The kotlin part was just amazing. Recommends to all those who really want to become android application developer.

the course was fantastic i learned some advance concept in this..best course on udemy for learning the android apps development.

Good Afternoon .First of all I don't know about android but after taking class ,Now I got some idea how to build an apps.Thank you for providing this course

The course is quite comprehensive, touching most of today's Android smartphones capabilities (bt apps, maps, social networks...), I kind of miss some guidelines about how to structure both apps and code itself ("clean code" emphasis).

I started to feel a little bit disappointed with how the coding is done. Too much trial and error, too many obvious errors, even some misconceptions ... and I just found out the list views being used are deprecated, so I would need to learn how to do the lists differently
