It would have been better if it explored more options in free softwares like krita

Awesome course! Austin really know's what he's talking about and breaks down each concept in a really clear way. 10/10 would recommend to anyone that's looking at getting into art as an awesome starting point.

I have been struggling to learn to draw for years. I have attempted a number of self help approaches with the help of certain books ("drawing on the right side of the brain" based books). While I feel they provided me with good starts I never followed through. Following the books, I became disillusioned when I saw how well other people seemed to do far more quickly than me. This course, I feel demonstrated that A LOT more practice is needed before you can expect to draw at a level that would be useful.I would suggest that some time be spent on a quick overview of other platforms and tools that are minimally suitable for following this course. I used "sketchable" on a Surface Go and would have been very frustrated if I the software publisher hadn't provided the recent update that allows lasso style selection like is used in the course.

The drawing course was great. I should have taken a course on my digital SW 1st. I found myself missing some of the content while searching for the functionality. This is more on me, then the course. But it might be good to recommend people learn their software of choice better prior to taking the course.

Ive always loved to draw, and recently I bought a new laptop, that lead me to a wacom pad. I want to de-stress and do something that I enjoy and at the same time learn and get better at somethings I enjoy.

Great course, it gives you a lot of recomendations just to start doing better. This is my second course with Austin and is a great teacher for this online format, the language, the instructions and the advices are really functionals.

Lot of different ways shown to go about sketching different things from real to imagined and a friendly guy guiding you on the way. Motivating myself to keep drawing has been difficult but he shows different ways to keep yourself motivated too. Worth checking out.

The course material was helpful and well presented. The only suggestion I would make is to make the closed captioning optional. For me, it was distracting and the voice-to-text app being used did not translate accurately

Life changing course. Things about sketching were here that I thought I knew, but when applied with Austin's way of teaching, showed me a newer & easier way of sketching better

He is probably one of the best instructors out there on the Internet. Every class has new tips and easy to follow so you can build up skills. Totally worth the money paid!

Each lesson is memorable and quick to the point. Picked up tons of useful techniques, and overall the instructor is very encouraging that really helps build up your confidence. Feeling very blessed to have come across these series of great courses.
