Not as better as I expected. Instructor's course delivery need to be improved. In the videos for first 35 lectures, Audio is too low.

This course is now a bit old, but for the most part still relevant. Skip the parts on the RDD as it's somewhat deprecated. The course is a good fit if you're proficient in Java and SQL.

This course was refresher for me on Apache Spark using Java. I learned some new things apart from which I know is plus side. Machine Learning section was new to me and I learned the basics which is good. I have already used Spark using Java in production but with this course I can now enhance and optimize the code more. Volume on different lessions can change also significatively.
No real big data example, just on reduced dataset. Power of scala si mainly on distributed computation so I wish to see more samples in this direction.

I was looking for something with short and to the point familiarity with Spark with Java. Though concepts are some what new to me but instructor gave enough explanation and example that helped me get the concept. Of course all the constructs and syntax are difficult to remember and you tend to practice more to get used to it. It would have been great if also included some real time use cases of how Spark is setup in real world and especially with some famous cloud platforms out there like AWS, Azure etc.
