I thought this was an excellent course. It provided me with an excellent intro to After Effects and the hands-on approach created a lot of confidence. The tutor spends time to illustrate useful workflows rather than simply showing flashy techniques. Lots of detail and practical reproducible examples. Diction and vocal pacing was excellent throughout and the tutor knew his subject well. This course is stuffed with so much content I had to put on my mental stretchy pants!From a person sitting on the starting line on animation I found this course very useful and worthy of at least a $297 price tag.This course gave specialized knowledge and skills taught in proper proportional sizes perfectly offered within each lesson.I would be doing a disservice is I did not strongly recommend others to glean the very valuable content presented and take this course.Lastly I look forward to any and all future content by this instructor.

This is the second class I've taken with this instructor. He's excellent. The other course is Complete After Effects, which is great but so in-depth that I took a break from it to take this in class in hopes of getting a jump start on my project. This class served its purpose well, and now I'm going to dive back into the Complete AE class so I can really master the program and unleash my creativity on my next project. Regarding this class, I had to dip out to YouTube a couple of times to find another explanation for something I didn't understand, but I do that for every class, so that's not a ding. I could have asked Louay, who is very responsive. He gets straight to the point, his examples are easy to follow, and the content is useful. Thank you, Louay! I learned a lot and am really excited about going further with AE.

I started this course from zero knowledge about After Effect and after completing all the lectures (in three days) I now know how to do basic & intermediate levels animations, and ready for more advanced stuff. I have never contacted the instructor but it seems he is always willing to help the students. A few things that need improvement: (1) This could be a first course in AE for general audience so there is no need to assume students are Udemy lecturers. (2) This course is not 100% self-contained. There are a few things that are mentioned and used in the lectures but not previously discussed so students with zero background like me would have to google it. Example is the "shy" feature. Would I recommend this course? Yes, of course. For reference I am using After Effects Pro 7 from CS2 by the way which is a very old version but have no problems imitating all of the animations. Only a few menus/options are different but I could do 100% of the animations in AE Pro 7 (CS2) nevertheless.

This is a great course! The Instructor guides you step by step through the process of making After Effects Titles. Just following the instructor and performing the hands on exercises at the end of each chapter gives you all the skills you need to create you own titles. The only thing that the course really needs is a way for the Instructor to highlight the tools he is selecting while creating the titles, but you can get around this by simply pausing the video.
