I took myCand. Scient degree in Physics 25 years ago. My main field was in Industrial Instrumentation. It was during this time my interest for IT technology grew. Since then I have been working in the IT field.
During my time at the University of Bergen, I have worked with large variety clients and servers,starting with MS-DOS in the beginning to Windows 10, and Solaris and Linux Redhat/Centos onservers, and Linux Ubuntu/Mint on desktops/laptops.
The web and Internett has always been my main field of interest. Early on I started with PHP programming andMySQL databases. Today my main tools are BASH and PHP scripting and MySQL/Maria DB/PostgreSQLdatabases.Today I am responsible for running and maintaining several CMS like systems, like Wordpress, Mediawiki,Machform, DSpace installations and more.IT is changing rapidly, and lately I have been involved in different projects related to IT processes andpeople. For instance, I am involved in a project to create an online course in Oral Pathology.
Today I am working with system administration and application support in Linux, and in this spring of 2018I am trying to learn more about fpm-cookery, ansible andDocker!
