I am an experienced process control engineer. I have worked for DuPont where I received three weeks of PCS7 training from Siemens, directly. Further, I worked for six months using PCS7 day-to-day. I am taking this course from Artur Columbobola as a refresher. I have not had my hands on PCS7 for three years. I am applying for a new job where PCS7 is used, and this refresher course might give me a competitive advantage to getting the job.
I state the above facts so that you might understand the basis of my review on this course. I am providing the below review which includes having already taken similar training directly from Siemens at their Springhouse PA USA facility in 2017.
Summary:
This is a great course, and I strongly recommend it. I also recommend both the advance PCS7 course and Artur's two "Allen Bradley ControlLogix Courses". The Advanced ControlLogix course is only available on JAts at this time (17 September, 2020).
Discussion:
The purpose of this course, for me, is to get the next job. Does this course get me up to speed sufficiently that the hiring manager is impressed with my PCS7 skills enough to hire me. The answer is emphatically yes!
I have only implemented about 15% of the course so far, but it is consistent. Artur dives deep into the details of the PCS7 system itself, and further provides hands-on labs. Finally, the course including what appears to be a functioning PCS7 system, so not only can I do the course, but I am free (it appears) to build what ever I want to further develop my skills. The advance PCS7 course appears to provide even more significant hands-on lab work.
The course is not without its worts. At the end of the day, do I find a great, high paying job? This course will absolutely help with that. Further, Artur's Allen Bradley courses will add to what I just wrote. Where ever one has a DCS, there are also PLCs all about. In the United States, the greatest percentage of PLCs deployed in the field are Allen Bradleys.
Telling a hiring manager that you master both the PCS7 DCS and also Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLCs is a significant situation and will separate you from the pack.
Take the two PCS7 courses.
Take the two Allen Bradley ControlLogix courses.
Get the great high-paying job.
That is the sequence. :)

Videos are good and well explained....

The course is not going to explain the theories behind the different actions did.
It will be really helpful an intriduction of the entire project Reactor and an explaination of the roadmap of the course. In this way the student can follow better the actions.
It will be really helpful to have the reacotr project material at certain milestone, in order to decrease the numer of the repetitive actions, that removes time to the course.

Learned a lot about PCS7 environment in a short time & in a most effective way , thanks to the creator of this Course .
