Codestars by Rob Percival

Best-selling Udemy instructor Rob Percival wants to revolutionize the way people learn to code by making it simple, logical, fun and, above all, accessible. But as just one man, Rob couldn't create all the courses his students - more than half a million of them - wanted.
That's why Rob created Codestars. Together, the instructors that make up the Codestars team create courses on all the topics that students want to learn in the way that students want to learn them: courses that are well-structured, super interactive, and easy to understand. Codestars wants to make it as easy as possible for learners of all ages and levels to build functional websites and apps. Hi! I'm Rob. I have a degree in Mathematics from Cambridge University and you might call me a bit of coding geek.
After building websites for friends and family for fun, I soon learned that web development was a very lucrative career choice. I gave up my successful (and sometimes stressful) job as a teacher to work part time and today, couldn't be happier.
I'm passionate about teaching kids to code, so every summer I run Code School in the beautiful city of Cambridge. I also run the popular web hosting and design service, Eco Web Hosting which leaves me free to share my secrets with people like you.
You wouldn't believe the freedom that being a web developer offers. Sign up and find out for yourself why so many people are taking and r

A really good and thorough course in all aspects of Sketch and how to use it. Wanna learn Sketch/UX design? Buy this course :)

This is a thorough introduction to Ui UX especially for me from the key basics to the actual hands on and design thinking. Highly recommended for first timers and folks interested into UI Ux

If you haven't any design experience this is the perfect course for you! It is a well thought step by step guide so you gain confidence in working with this easy program! When you finish the course youll have a good understanding of Sketch. I was only interested in wireframing ...but its quite easy to move to higher fidelity options + include animations! Also easy to understand how to download libraries and so on!The quality of the videos sometimes is poor..but still easy to follow!Version of sketch is older...but still, easy to follow! As i said, for beginners in this field, the course is very good!

Loved the style of teaching. I had zero experience working with Sketch as a front-end developer and I can say this course has changed my life. Thank you, Andrew!!

By?o to ciekawe wprowadzenie do ?wiata designu przy pomocy sketch. R?nice w u?ytkowaniu programu jakie powsta?y na przestrzeni czasu mo?na by?o w miar? ?atwo zweryfikowa? dzi?ki udost?pnieniu czatu u?ytkownikom. Kurs rozbudzaj?cy ciekawo?? i rzucaj?cy ?wiat?o na tematy zwi?zane z designem oraz narz?dzia niezb?dne, a tak?e u?atwiaj?ce prac? i przep?yw informacji.

The course itself is very nice, with clear explanations, understandable narration and very detailed in content. I would absolutely recommend it for beginner designers who are just starting to learn! However, if you have experience in the design field and only want to learn some useful tips and tricks for working specifically with Sketch, this course might be a bit too detailed and extensive for you.

This course was awesome! The lector really knows what he is doing, he explains everything step by step in a very good pace. I never had the feeling of being overwhelmed or to miss any info. I now have the feeling I know all the details and key features of sketch and am ready to tackle my first projects! Also I wanna state that it is great that he shows the used plugins and what they are able to do and how they help and can make the process more easy!

I like this course , and the best important i can earn money after i learn this course ... thanks you , my teacher !!!!

There are some parts where I definitly would give 5 stars without questions. And there are also some parts where I would only give 3 stars. I personally like him and his voice and the way he describes. I think he is good in explaining and saying what he is doing step by step. He says he is a perfectionist - I think he is in design but not in making the best teaching he can on this course. I personally didn't like that this design-ambition-perfection disturbs the actual learning of sketch, because it costs time to like first do it this way and then, ah, ah lets change it, ah, lets change it back. I think that is unnecessary and therefore like a useless time multiplying by all students that take these lessons.I'd like it to be as long as necessary to understand, but as short as possible.I'm a huge fan of setting up styleguides, because I know it will be so useful later. In the beginning after setting them up, we used them, but later it feels like we are typing in thousands of other hex-codes and changing text or layer styles manually again and I'm wondering: "Why did we set them up if we are not straight in using them?".To end up with another thing I enjoyed: I really like the last theoretical part. I feel very comfortable listening to his voice and how he is talking about UX and related topics. Maybe it would be worth a thought of putting some theory in between practical lessons to have some variety or relax the practical-brain? Was just a thought...I would love to see more courses from him considering these improvements! :-) This is also usability ;-)And despite my negative points, I still recommend this course!GreetingsKirstin

This is my first ever UI Design course and I loved it. I never knew Sketch was so easy to learn and yet powerful. Felt like an advance version of Apple's keynote. Great job designing this course. Excellent teaching!

I wish there was more accountability; like you do something and then we do something. Like a homework section, sometimes I felt like I was following blindly, and not understanding the why. I also wish there was more 'how to do it if you have 0 experience; where to start, etc. But, other than that - I loved the product we made; a lot of the redundancy helped learn.
