Course Description

My third course on Udemy is a much requested one: how to make a multiplayer FPSgame in Unreal Engine 4 inspired by Counter-Strike!
Here are some important notes before you purchase this course:
First of all, this is a course. What that means is I'm teaching you how to make different systems that are found in FPS games so you can expand on them in your own games and make them better.
Do not go into this course expecting me to make a game for you. It's important that you take what you learn and run off with it so you can build the game of your dreams.
Much of what you learn can be applied to all sort of game genres, not just FPSgames. That's the beauty of learning this stuff.
You'll be a Blueprint pro by the time you get through this course. We're making a lot of fun systems that aren't taught anywhere else!
The course is designed for beginner to intermediate users of Unreal Engine 4. I do NOT recommend taking this course if you're completely new. Spend a few months going through the free Epic tutorials on Youtube so you can get familiar with the engine. You will have a much easier time when you understand the fundamentals.
Because this game is designed with multiplayer from the very beginning, expect it to be somewhat difficult if you're new. You will always have the video lectures to study, but you may have trouble understanding certain things if you're new to multiplayer programming in UE4.
The absolute BESTpart of this course, in my opinion, is the advanced, predictable recoil system that isn't taught anywhere else. I made this on my own just for this course. There's no weapon bloom. It's predictable like the gunplay in CS:
GO.
This allows your players to learn the recoil of different guns over time. This makes the gunplay much more skill-based than Fortnite where it uses random recoil that isn't predictable(weapon bloom).
If this all sounds interesting to you, then join now and let's get started!
Who this course is for:
Beginner Unreal Engine 4 users who want to learn multiplayer game development

With over 5 years of development in Unreal Engine, I've decided to bring my skills to Udemy. I've helped various people over the years create RPG and FPSgames with a main focus on multiplayer. In my spare time, I continue to develop my own RPG game. I love teaching and have been helping developers like yourself in Unreal Engine 4 for several years. Let's create games together and make the design process a fun, enjoyable experience.

Really good. The only thing is you have to be a bit experienced on how to use the engine. For example if its day 1 of using unreal this isnt the right course. when your a good 2 months into it i'd say do the course. Its really good and Jeff did a amazing job.

This course has been awesome!
As someone who only has a little over a month into Unreal Engine, his requirements are dead on with mentioning at least 3-6 months of Unreal experience.
However, I've been able to figure it out and follow along pretty well as he's taking you step-by-step towards the end goal! I got carried away with the level design on the first map and spent about an hour tinkering and messing with his initial layout idea. (Isn't that the point of a course like this? It's merely a foundation after all.)
One downside is I can't seem to find the discord server anywhere :( If someone could point me to it, that'd be great!

Kinda sucks having to stop and replay parts of the video so often because what's going on isn't often explained. I'd like to pause the video and click where he shows AND says, but it's mostly show.

I have been using Unreal Engine for about 6 months now and it's amazing to see the capabilities of the Blueprint system. I'm primarily an artist so this course is invaluable to me an I must say that this course has taught me more than any other I've taken so far. Thanks for this, I will definitely follow your other courses once I've completed this one!

This is a really good course about making the FPS multiplayer game, all is clear, and so much new information! Man, thank you for this course!
I've tried several other courses on udemy about FPS games in UE4 and this one is the best so far.

video buffer

By Alon Arditi on 11/23/2020

As my background is a wierd assortment this is really usefull, only negative feedback i can give is that the editing is somewhat bad such as in video 12 i think the weapon falls to the ground and you expect it while you only talk about the simulate physics on the start of video 13

its great
