Yes it appears to be a good match

What I love about this course is that Sam seems like a social person who wants an actual listener to talk to instead of a microphone, so he keeps making these whimsical remarks to himself that doesn't disrupt the flow but actually make me emphasize with him. I don't even remember why rated this course 4.5 / 5.0 so I'm just raising it to a solid 5 for the sake of all the "coolcoolcoolcoolcoolcool"s

Honestly surprised it even went into human anatomy to deeply understand VR. Studied VR and Game Dev for years and I've never even thought/learned about things like this.

Awesome

The lecturer is very engaging. I really love this way of teaching. The lectures are delivered clearly and easily-understood.

I've found the VR course incredibly instructive, and I very much recommend taking it alongside the C++ course for UE4. If you have a C++ foundation you'll be up, running and making UE4 games with a level of comfort in just a few weeks casual study.

I don't like that mistakes are made during the video, then he says 'Oh well, fix it later' - I would rather the video be accurate to begin with, it makes the presentation feel sloppy.

Great course. I have my own archviz project. Easy to add VR, based on course. Learned how things are working. Good start.

Good instruction and definitely makes you do some homework to do the challenges, but there are quite a few speaking errors and little mistakes by the instructor along the way. (For example, migrating assets - he just forgot to look in the right place for a command and it led to extra unneeded work). A little cleanup is definitely needed.

Just some constructive feedback: Some quiz questions are being asked before the corresponding lecture where you learn the answer. So of course you're not going to get it right.

The guy allways expect everyone to be vr sick and in the course you only learn a few things

Sam is a great instructor and takes you step by step through the fundamentals of VR development in Unreal. You should have prior knowledge of Unreal before starting this course (I recommend one of the other courses by GameDev.tv). I found some of the challenges to be particularly difficult where the solution was not immediately apparent. There were a few cases where an essential piece of information or a required/obscure function was not discussed until after the challenge slide. I recommend this course for people looking to develop VR experiences with Unreal and C++.
