Hi, I'm Ben. I have a degree in computing from Imperial College London, and a physics diploma from the Open University.
I started working for myself at the age of 15, and never looked back. I explored careers as varied as being a commercial pilot, stunt-man, rock climbing instructor, and more. None of these provided a continued challenge, and stable income in the same way technology does.

I have had experience with 2d drawing before. And really needed to increase my skills in drawing 2d for video games so I can make one. I have reached the half way mark and my skills have improved massively. With the experience I have had with this teacher before I am confident I will get everything I want from this course.

I think GameDev.TV has the best Udemy courses. The structure and the speed with which knowledge is imparted is second to none on Udemy. I've done a few GameDev.TV courses and ALL of them were outstanding

This is a fantastic course for people with 0 artistic background. You will find basic concepts explained in a very comprehensible fashion with a very hands on approach. I struggled a bit in making the transition from the pixel art chapters to the anaotomy ones, but even though it was frustrating, I ended up learning a lot.

I misunderstood when Udemy asked me for a review only 1 hour into the course. I thought that surely this must just be a sort of informal review. A way to measure engagement and thoughts very early into the course, and not an actual full-fledged review so early in the process. But I was mistaken, and that's not the fault of the instructors here!
I'll come back and edit this review once I've finished the course and am actually able to review it. Absurd that Udemy is asking for public reviews so early in the course.
