Adobe Lightroom Classic CC & CC: Photo Editing Masterclass (Udemy.com)

I used Lightroom Classic for a number of years but had to take a break for a couple of years. I would have like to have known the version before buying but that may have been my bad. In the end not really a problem as this course has helped me regain my knowledge of the program for the most part. And the improvements up to 2025 over the last 3 1/2 years haven't been so great to feel lost. In short a great course. Thanks!

I am new to the Lightroom platofrm. This course is structured to help me get the most out of LR as I continue to use it. But I don't think I'll get the full benefit of this course until the second or third time I go through it. One suggestion for a topic that could help a lot of new LR users like myself: I had a devil of a time configuring LR to work the way I want it to work. I should say that I am an experienced Windows user with a computer configured for this very purpose: Advanced photo editing. So, it does not lack for hardware resources or storage capacity. Yet, LR routing hung up or crashed shortly after starting up, and I had to hunt around all over the web to find out why. I finally got the answers I needed, and LR seems to be behaving, but I can't be alone in feeling out to see when first starting to use this application. Thank you, guys, for your passion on this subject. Good learning from you!

Questo corso è davvero ben strutturato e completo. Tutti gli argomenti sono trattati in maniera semplice e chiara, di facile comprensione anche per chi si affaccia a Lr per la prima volta. Le lezioni non sono mai noiose e forniscono ottimi spunti di riflessione. Sinceramente non mi aspettavo un programma così dettagliato. Complimenti ai docenti per la loro preparazione e per il lavoro svolto! Se dovessi trovare un aspetto negativo i sottotitoli non sempre sono precisi, ma comunque il senso generale delle frasi si capisce.

I didn't know anything about Lightroom at all and I have to say I learned a lot! Thank you very much for this course. But I think there are some parts that you need to shed more lights on them, like histogram or white balance, curve tone. To me these areas are in gray parts at the moment and I think I need to read more about them. All in all, it was really helpful. Thank you and good luck!

Just finished the course! The course is well structured and teaches you about every tool and process on the way. Different types of images (landscapes, portraits, etc.) are used to give us a sense of how we can edit them. All possible scenarios and problems are addressed and easy fix solutions are explained in a comprehensive manner. Both Lightroom CC and Classic CC are explained and how they can be used across different devices! There are many assignments (that are also peer reviewed) that help put these concepts into application. A very swift response and feedback for your assignments as well that guide you better. The language is clear and easy to understand and both John and Phil are a delight to learn from. 100% recommend!

The course definitely provides quality information but somewhat fails to keep the attention grabbed at all times.. at least for me. It would be nice if the video was updated in an interesting way. Just for reference's sake to get an idea of what I am talking about, there is this youtube channel called photos in color where Ed Gregory, the speaker, has a series on Lightroom tutorial which kept my the interest as a person watching rooted.

I had a bit of previous knowledge about lightroom before taking on this course, I did learn a few more things ; however, I think that audio was not the best in some lessons, I had to keep adjusting the volume up or down. At the last stage, it was difficult to follow John's instructions as I could not see sometimes where he was applying some brushes. The last assignment was tidious as you have to adjust the levels according to the instructions, in that sense I did not learn too much, I would have prefered to be requested to do that my way and get to the expected result or close, which was given as an option and I had to opt for it as instructions were not clear to me. All in all, good course but not exceptional. Thanks.

It has taken me a while to realize the full benefits of the course by laying down the basics and building on it. Earlier I watched the video. Then I would go to my computer and try the lesson. If I couldn’t achieve the results I would watch the lesson with my computer so I could follow the steps along. I liked that they have included lessons about Lightroom CC. I could pick and choose the lessons in areas I was shaky in. Ending of class: I cannot believe how much I learned. About 2/3 of the way through the class I started editing all of my photos with Light Class, not Lightroom CC. I was nervous at first, but now I cannot imagine it any other way. There is a boatload of information. I know I will go back and review sections as I need them. The only place I really got lost was using the Lightroom camera. Either there has been an upgrade, or I just couldn't follow it. No matter, because I don't see myself using this feature very often.

Excellent course and I would like to see more assignments to apply the tools that we have learnt more each lesson, and please show more detail for window user and I am a very beginner level and this is my first lesson to start working with Lightroom classic CC. For example I would like to have shortcuts sheet for window user e.g. 1.How to click on keyboard for "before & after" for window user 2.How to delete the function of active healing brush only. But overall this course helped me so much, great learning lessons. Thank you both Phil and Jon.

The lessons are very well prepared and the subjects are interesting. My suggestion is that the course be divided into basic and advanced. I am a novice to Light Room and much of the information contained in about the last third of the course was too detailed for a beginner. I also have no use for the entire section on mobile devices. It was very beneficial to have to image files to work with, but several lessons did not have images. Very informative for the lessons that were relevant to me.
