Matthew explains well but loses a whole minute at the beginning of each video to copy the file, open, set its title, etc.. And one more very frustrating thing - he's YAWNING very often while speaking 0_o\nI just feel I'm falling asleep instead of making my brain work..

I\'m an experienced Java/C/C/C# programmer, so really I just got a quick review of some javascript-specific quirks such as the differences between comparison operators (e.g. == vs ===, etc.).\n\nOn thing I found a bit annoying was the use of incorrect terminology, for example, the instructor kept calling parenthesis ''brackets''. In programming (and I believe the English language) these ''( )'' are parenthesis, '' '' are brackets, and '' '' are braces... Not a biggie, just nitpicking:)\n\nOverall, this is a pretty good JavaScript intro (and overall programming intro).\n\nOh, and I\'m not sure I agree that JavaScript is the most popular ''programming'' language in the world! Technically, it\'s not a ''programming'' language, but a scripting one.

If you are a beginner, this course is absolutely the best. The instructor gives you 'challenges' to test your learning, so you can stop the video and try to solve the challenge. And then you have the option to continue watching the video, and I loved that he actually took time to show you how to solve the challenges. It's nice to put your learning to use right away.

Mattew is a fantastic tutor who makes even very complex JavaScript areas easier to understand and provides/explains clear and easy to follow code examples in each lesson. You learn JavaScript really quickly and in efficient way.
