I've been a Java developer for a long time. I just need to know more about the specific Java 8 stuff, which I thought this course would address. I didn't know it would teach all the Java basics as well, which I didn't need. But the teacher is really good and talks about a lot of details, so I learned a few new "special circumstances things" even when those belong to the "basics". And the tests are good.

It's good but it's a little bit lacking for my Java Certification Exam. Maybe it could've focused more on the edge cases per section.

It was a really good course, so specific. I thing is a good idea just give us the principal knowelges for the OCA certification and then follow his suggestions to finish learning all the things that we need to have for the OCA certified. I would like to add that at this point I will barely see the topics that are required for the certified OCA.

The course is maybe not the best option for me because I already have good experience with Java. What I want is to be acquainted with what Java 8 has to offer, since I'm a bit stuck and too confortable with the older versions for my own good... Anyway, I liked a lot the explanations involving stack and heap, for this is not something you see frequently in the wild, in the courses or in the books.
The use of (non-static) class-level blocks is also one thing that is uncommon, at least in the code I have to deal with in all those years.
So, there are bits of new information here and there for me too and for that reason, it is well worth to continue.
