I took this as a refresher. It provided just enough detail and Jeff was great. His tone, clarity and mastery was ideal. If Jeff offers a course that takes a Java 8 developer to version 11 or 13 I'd take it.

An excelent course, with many tips for who have been thinking to do the exam 1Z0-808.Jeff have a lot experience in Java and if you choose to do the course you will know what Ive mean.Although Im not native speaker in English but Ive could understand every word he spoke, clearly.

Excellent course!! Jason Shapiro is a fantastic instructor. He not only shows you how to do something, but also explains _why_ you would want to do it. Pay extra attention on the quiz questions because many of them are trick questions designed to expose the gotchas of Java. If you need a no-nonsense introduction to Java that isn't 80 hours long, then I can't recommend this course enough!

This course was enjoyable and offers insights and explains Java programming concepts in clear, and, easy way to understand for beginners and different ways you could do solutions, and gradually building into more complex concepts. The lab exercises (That I can refer back too) helped me practice and reinforce my learning. I feel that I now have a good foundation knowledge of Java programming concepts and plan to now prepare for the OCA exam. If this is what you are after then I would recommend this course but would also compliment it with an OCA exam prepration book as I found there were a few topics in this course that required your own research but would have liked them explained a bit more. I have heard from experienced Java programmers that the Oracle courses don't offer or support this style of learning through on demand and you have a limited time access to save your labs (I would still like to try an Oracle course one day), though the Udemy courses are much more affordable.

I am preparing for OCA JP certification and I found this course very useful as Jeff is providing very important content for exam preparation and most importantly he always tells you bullet points which are usually missed when you learn from a book.

It explains very well each topic to be treated, with graphic examples such as the way in which the scope in the stack and the pile is treated.Fully recommended as an aid to study for the OCA exam.

Good course that covers most of the important aspect of Java 8. Also includes a good explanation of Object Oriented in Java. Only drawback is that the course slides are not provided.

In some points of the course, its too basic. I think this course must be to people who knows Java and want to certificate themselves to reach a high knowledge of Java.

After completing this course, I am excited about applying what I have learned. The instructor has spotlighted a series of particulars that I had overlooked when reading in the past. "You don't know what you don't know" until it is pointed out. I am now understanding overlooked subtleties that deepen understanding.
