Electron is the most popular way to build Desktop apps in today's day and age. Electron is a Chrome runtime with NodeJS bindings, which means without delving into C# and .
NET or Swift and Objective-C, you can quickly apply your existing web development skills (HTML, CSS, Javascript) and NodeJS knowledge to build exemplary desktop apps that run on Windows, Mac and Linux all three platforms.
In this course, Piyush will take you through the process of getting started with Electron, and building multiple desktop-specific features like custom right-click context menus, running apps in background, keeping apps in notification tray and finally packaging and distributing your apps so people can download and run it on any Operating System they wish to.
There is a Capstone Project which involves making a desktop based expense manager.
