The actual theory behind algorithmic trading is explained very well. The best practices and techniques are also very apparent in the course. My issue with it is the Quantopian platform that is used within the course no longer has a live trading option so you cannot actually use what you have learned in the course to trade which was the only reason I bought the course. The idea of algorithmic trading is taught well and the instructor let's you know that this course is only intended to serve as a starting point in becoming an Algo Trader. But with many of the functions used being in something that does not directly work in the market as I was led to believe it is not very helpful. The only solution that I can come up with is to use an API for the brokerage and learn to automate trades that way. But I asked the instructor and did not receive a response. Then I saw that the instructor has not responded to anyone that has asked a question for as far back as a year I believe.
