I am an accomplished brain scientist and an AI researcher and practitioner who received a degree in Psychology and a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Zagreb, Croatia. My masters degree and a Ph.D. I received form the University of Oklahoma, USA. I am an honorary professor of psychology at the University of Zagreb. In 1999 my neuroscience work started at the Department of Neurophysiology at the Max-Planck Institute for Brain Research where I headed a lab for investigating the functioning of the visual cortex. I used my research insights to develop the theory of brain functioning, called practopoiesis. The theory of practopoiesis was the basis for the invention of AI-Kindergarten and the technology called MENTAL, which lead to co-founding the company RobotsGoMental. In the past, I consulted companies in developing deep learning applications for commercial purposes and on other machine learning and Data Science problems. Currently, I am a CDO and Head of AI at savedroid AG. I am a frequent keynote speaker at Data Science and machine learning conferences.
