This is a certification course first and a general SQL course second. It follows the Oracle University track for the 1Z0-071 exam across 183 lectures and about 20 hours, and it starts from installing Oracle Database 12c on Windows. Khaled Alkhudari, a longtime Oracle developer, teaches it with slides and SQL scripts attached to each chapter. It suits people with no database background who want a structured path to the Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate badge. Around 37,000 students have taken it.

Reviewers rate it well, with about 58 percent of ratings at five stars and 89 percent at four or five. Several say they passed the exam after it, and they describe the explanations as simple and clear. The complaints are small but specific. One reviewer says his accent takes some getting used to, another mentions spelling slips and a few spots where speech and slides don't match, and a third says the notes are copied from Oracle documentation, which makes them hard to line up with the videos. One reviewer who passed says views, global temporary tables and external tables need extra study.

This course covered about 85% of my studying. The other 15% was other online resources. I was able to pass and earn the 1Z0-071 certificate. Watch the videos, take your time understanding every concept as explained by Khaled, and take some really thorough notes using a format that makes sense to you. After every section, quiz yourself (or use ChatGPT to help with the quizzes) and don't move on to the next section until you are 100% certain that you understand everything. Good luck to everyone!
