*Course updated 03 November 2018 with new resources.*
Begin your Python journey here. Over the years I have tried to learn many programming languages. Most of the time I never got past the basics. But Python is different. Python is beautifully simple and yet incredibly powerful. It's also easy to read which I love.
If you have just decided to learn programming then you have made the right choice, so take a breath. Python is very easy to learn which means that you will be through the basics and on to writing programs in a very short time.
Python is a one-stop shop. There's a Python framework for pretty much anything, from web apps to data analysis. Python is often heralded as the easiest programming language to learn, with its simple and straightforward syntax. Python has risen in popularity due to Google's investment in it over the past decade (in fact, one recent study has shown Python to be the most commonly taught programming language in U.S. schools). Other applications built with Python include Pinterest and Instagram.

This course is a step by step guide through the Python 3 programming language. You will go from a complete Python beginner, installing Python to creating your own programs.
There are over 130 lectures in this course and over 7 hours of video each one detailing a specific aspect of the Python programming language.

This course will walk you through:
  • Variables
  • Strings
  • Numbers
  • Comments
  • Lists
  • User input
  • Conditional tests
  • Dictionaries
  • While loops
  • Functions
  • Classes
  • Files
  • Error handling
  • and Tests...Phew!

So far it's too fast and the lecturer uses an Apple Computer.

Yes absolutely

A great course for all beginners , i look forward for more

Simple way to teach the concept. Taking easy example to let us understand the concept quickly. Somewhere, little complex approach was used where some easy or simple code snippets approach were available (i have sent those to instructor).

I have send few query but no reply from the instructor. That's annoying somewhere.

Still, I have given 4 start just because of course content. 1 star deducted because of no reply.

This course is very helpful and I have learned a lot so far. The instructor explains everything very well.

This course was very simple and easy as im a kid

This course is very good and easy. This is great because im a kid

Good lecture, however, more could have been explained about the "Console. For example: How do you run programme, or how do you get the "Console" showing you the result of your programming.

I haven't programmed in 15 years and wanted to get back in. Python, based on my research, is the most popular program to learn now. This course has enabled me to quickly build up my confidence. The instructor speaks clearly and simply. Some instructors use too many words in their descriptions which make the courses move slowly and some move so quickly that you cannot keep up unless you are already skilled and this instructor hits just the right pace for me. I can follow along, editing with him as I go. He uses no extraneous words and yet leaves nothing out. He builds your ability step by step. I'm only 90 minutes in but am already feeling like I understand what goes on in the background of word editors and websites.

This is a great course for a beginner in the world of Python.

Great so far. Only issue is that it is really lite on explaining the windows side of using the programs. For example: How do I run python in CMD? Windows does not have the great integration with a terminal like a Mac. This is not necessary, so far, in this course but it may be later on.

It is very helpful
