This course is best suited for anyone that's new to QuickBooks Desktop software. If you're responsible for the accounting function and use QuickBooks, this course is a great fit. Accountants, Bookkeepers, and small business owners would benefit from this course. I've assisted many small business owners with their QuickBooks needs and these videos were created with them in mind.
This course is NOT a course about QuickBooks Online; it's about QuickBooks Desktop. Also, this course doesn't show everything there is to know about QuickBooks; instead, this course is a collection of short, concise training videos on various topics using QuickBooks.

I love sharing information and helping folks with their QuickBooks needs. I'm a CPA and am an Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor (Desktop and Online software versions). For a large part of my career, I worked as an Accountant/Office Manager and had the pleasure of training co-workers and temporary staff in a variety of software packages including QuickBooks. I was able to create all sorts of systems and standard operating procedures. In many instances I created training tutorials; both print and video. It was at that time I realizedthat I really enjoy teaching; sharing knowledge with others in the hope that they learn and use the valuable information.
As a result, my wife and I formed a company (Simplified Management Solutions, Inc.) where we create QuickBooksvideo tutorialsand provide local and remoteaccounting services.
Other interests include: Spending time with my wife and 3 Vizslas (dogs), playing guitar/drums/bass, photography, and creating films/motion graphics.
Software I use includes (and isn't limited to): QuickBooks, Word, Excel, Camtasia, Snagit, After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Audition, & Google Docs.

I appreciate the lecturer for putting together this course, but I honestly did not find very much material within this course that I could have not discovered on my own. I was expecting a course that would deal with the usage of Quickbooks along with general accounting principles rather than a purely technical approach to how to do menial tasks in the program. Also the fact that this course has material dating back to 2014, I am concerned about missing updates within later Quickbooks instalments.

I've never used QuickBooks, so the class was a little fast and I would have liked some hands on exercises. Overall it was informative.

Interesting way of structuring the lessons as short bursts of quick tips and tricks. Course was short, sweet and concise. Well done.

By Tracey Angelo on 8/23/2018

The instructor could be little more descriptive with terms.
