The Digital Painting w/ Procreate Guide | Grayscale method (Udemy.com)

I have been a traditional artist for as long as I can remember, I have always loved to draw and paint. I have been interested in digital art and finally got an iPad to start learning Procreate, this course was perfect! It was extremely straight forward, fun, and I was able to learn how to navigate through the application easily. I was so overwhelmed when I first started digital painting, Kurt's guidance was a game changer for my work, thank you!

Good so far. Wasn't sure if the tutorial needed to go into multiple sketches before moving on to actual painting. Would have been good to get some info on brushes during the shading portion.

This was a skill that I thought I'd never be able to wrap my head around. I've never come anywhere near close to what I've seen people produce, but with this course my skills and techniques have absolutely skyrocketed in 2 days. I'm now really excited to work on my own stuff and use nearly all of the techniques learned during this course that I never would have considered before. This was an absolute game changer for me and Kurt has earned some mad respect from the UK!

Really loved this course! I'm doing some other illustration courses as well but I was looking for a compact course specifically on Procreate and I got a practical teaching from this course. The instructor also seemed super nice and explained things well. The camera set up was also quite helpful where you can see the hands working, the view of the artwork itself as well as the instructor so it humanizes the video. Thank you!

Helo, I'm from Germany. First of all, I'm an absolute Beginner in Digital Painting and this Course is exactly what I needed. No long and complicated Explanations. Just showing how the Job gets done. Wonderful!! I really appreciate this Course and recommend it. The missing German Subtitles are no problem. Mr. Russell speaks slow and clear. Good to understand. Sorry for my mistakes and Thank you very much!!!

Um excelente curso, com ótimas dicas e excelente método de ensino. Foi ótimo para aperfeiçoar técnicas de pintura. Muitos atalhos no procreate e detalhes pequenos que fazem toda a diferença no desenho final. Muito boa a idéia do professor de filmar as mãos, rosto e tela do iPad. Não sou nenhuma expert em inglês, mas as legendas ajudam. Recomendo fortemente.

This is a fantastic course! It really demystifies the procreate app and gives a clear and logical process to making very a professional looking piece of art. I bought the Procreate app, tinkered around but just couldn't figure it how to use the tools effectively. A lot of other tutorials or classes I looked at really felt overwhelming. I appreciate how the instructor made this course short and project based. I am really excited to use Procreate now and will definitely continue to take courses with this instructor. Thanks so much!

Lots of knowledge but difficult to retain and apply the learning without going back and having to pause video many times and make notes. It’s also hard to see what he’s hitting on the toolbar and how he’s getting to certain settings which are key. Clearly it’s second nature to him but he does this very fast and doesn’t always verbalise the action so had to pause video a couple of times and rewind so I can see.

Being fairly new to Procreate this course was excellent and for a beginner who wants to produce eye-catching art, the course content was clear and on point. The lectures were at great past where you could work along with the Artist. What makes this course great is the breakdown structure as in easy to understand and you are able to the Artist iPad alone with the used gestures.

Great information and tips for those who are new to digital painting, I am able to create a decent digital painting using this method. Hope to learn more from him
