A great introduction into the Unity software. I now feel confident in using the program to create levels and simple scenarios for video game projects.

I learned how to use the Unity 3D Game Kit a bit. However, I didn't learn all the tricks that the original levels had in them. Things like how to go to another scene after completing a level, and addressing background sound. Maybe in another lesson? Overall though, it was a good introduction to the 3D Game Kit.

Este curso es muy bueno, divertido, gracioso y directo al grano. Es adecuado para principiantes pues no requiere programacin y plantea algunos retos para practicar. En definitiva, muy interesante.

Should be a great course, if the lector made a script and make it more professional way. Every lecture he forget thing or two to say, and its a bit frustrating when you make notes on a paper and every time you got to wait until the end to be sure that he will not say something more about the topic from the beggining at the end of the video, because "he forgot".

Very well explained and Rick makes the process more fun. I recomend it specially to beginners in unity like me to taste the game developing world

I came to this course as a coder. I believe I'm finishing it as a better coder.I have a tendency to code to solve problems. If this, then that, and it's done. This is not so great for allowing non-coders to make design change contributions to the game projects, and builds a dependency in on me to keep it going that disables me from doing other things.Rick's demonstrations of how to connect game kit all together has shown me exactly what I wanted; how the code should be done to create distinct yet connectable series of code blocks together to empower game and level design changes through the GUI of the editor.Or in other words, when I go to write code in Unity for a game now, I can much more easily draw upon "what would game kit do?", to help steer me in the right design directions. That, and it stays true to form, the course shows how with game kit, you really can build entire games full of mechanics and playability, without a single line of code edited or written to add to it.

I like the fact that Rick clearly explains how to install the 3D Kit, and I also like his positive attitude. Wow, he shows us how to use the tools to place objects and characters in the environment, and tweak the settings! Cool, he teaches us how to set triggers and colliders! He also teaches us some rules to remember, when we design game levels!

Like all of Rick's courses this was excellent. It really showed what a non coder can easily do with Unity 3D Gamekit. All we need now is a similar course by Rick on the 2D Gamekit.

I think it was a great course. Being able to create a level without all the scripting is a nice starting point. The only thing that would make the course absolutely perfect would be an extra section showing and explaining a bit of the scripting and setup of all the classes of the Gamekit. This way, having a basic understanding of how the GameKit is set up the designer would be able to get extra functionality from the Design Kit by tweaking and/or adding some small stuff. But in any case, great course! And, as always, Rick is an awesome instructor!

I have some Unity and Blender experience, so this was nice to see how models made in Blender can be used to create a game in Unity.
