Learn everything to start tattooing like a PROAre you curious about tattooing but do not know where to start? In this course, Sally Nassar will teach you EVERYTHING about the tools, materials and techniques to get started in the art of tattooing as a professional.
You will learn to tattoo, from the assembly of the machine, work station, types of needles and hygiene, including basic techniques of lining, shading, filling and pointillism. We will incorporate human models when it comes to illustrating and working a tattoo and will dig into very detailed information.
You will meet Sally, who will tell you how she started in the fascinating world of tattooing after studying everything about this art in India back in 2017.
Sally will teach you how to assemble your first basic or professional kit to start tattooing. Thus, you will know in detail all the materials you need: what machines are there, the types of tools, needles and essential information for tattooing, as well as giving you some personal recommendations based on her experience in the field.
You will learn about the different types of skin and the anatomical considerations that you must have to adapt the design to the area of the body. Next, you will see the exact steps to create the stencil, prepare it to apply it to the skin and, of course, assemble and sterilize your table before tattooing to avoid cross contamination.
You will transfer the design to the surface to learn the techniques of lining, filling, shading and pointillism in different ways considering materials, voltage and movements to achieve the results you are looking for.
You will see how to dismantle the table correctly, following maintenance and hygiene guidelines and, finally, you will learn several recommendations to advise your client before and after getting a tattoo.

Sally Nassar

Hello there, my name is Sally Nassar and I am the owner of Inkology Tattoo Design Studio in Egypt.

Since I was young, I have always been attracted to arts in all its forms, drawing was one of my main hobbies but I never really sake neither a study nor a career in arts. I used to be a cabin crew for one of the Middle Easts most prestigious airlines and I owned & managed a few private businesses like a cosy beauty salon in one of Cairos busiest streets & a Budget Wedding Gowns online shop for brides in Dubai, the UAE.

My story with tattooing began around the end of 2015, I was very keen on learning this art, the idea itself was already very attractive to me as I had several pieces done on me by one of Thailand and Egypts finest artists in the field.

I started reading & watching You-Tube tutorials until I received my first kit ever! A beginner tattoo kit for training purposes that flew all the way from China. I started practicing on fake skin and was not still confident enough to ink real human skin, until early 2017, when I decided that I do not want to be just another tattoo artist, I wanted to start a professional & certified tattoo studio in Egypt that not only offers tattoos but also free consultation, custom designing & raising awareness about different topics related to this art, like: how to choose a design that represents your identity, what precautions should you take to have a safe tattoo, how to choose the best tattoo shop, et

The knowledge is a lot more based on the hygiene of the set up and the dismantling of the station. I was not aware of the sticky plastic wrap and was thinking of using cling film instead, but that looks to be a lot more helpful and easier to work with. I was not fully aware of the difference between the rotary and the coil guns and the effect on the dotting technique. I would of liked some more examples of line work and where best to start. At the bottom working up seems like the best. Also is there any techniques to improve linework other than just practising on a orange? As a painter learning a new craft I've found a few of my own ways to improve and make my hand stronger to change from holding a slim paint brush to a chunky tattoo grip. One of which was switching the needle and tube for a ballpoint pen and writing a essay or drawing some designs. The cramp at first, omg!! I would have loved some more detail about the power machine itself. What is the difference from using higher power to low or even mid? how does that effect the skin? does slower mean more control on line work? what happens if you go to deep/not deep enough into the skin? would there be signs to look out for? Over all fantastic in the details for the hygiene of the set up and disposing of the equipment. Just would like to have gone into a little more detail with the actual tattooing and power machine. Thankyou
