Course Description

I would like to welcome you to this course that will guide you through creating your very first MVC application using an empty template. To get the most from this course, you should have a basic understanding of HTML and be familiar Object Oriented Programming in the C# language.
ASP.NET Core is a relatively new framework from Microsoft. It has been designed from the ground up to be fast and flexible and to work across multiple platforms. ASP.NET Core 2.0 is the framework to use for your future applications.
You will add the necessary pieces one at a time to get a good understanding of how things fit together. The focus is on installing and configuring middleware, services, and other frameworks. Styling with CSS is not a priority in this course.
You will start by installing middleware to create a processing pipeline, and then look at the MVC framework.
Model classes are still used as data carriers between the controller and its views. There are, however, many new features that you will learn, such as Tag Helpers and View Components. You will also work with Entity Framework to store and retrieve data, and implement authentication with ASP.NET Identity framework. Note that dependency injection now is a first-class design pattern, which means that you need to learn it.
I sincerely hope you will enjoy this course.

I enrolled in another course authored by this author. I am doing extremely well with his courses.

Excellent course for beginner who want to understand c#.net core. Thiscourse teaches you step by step. Recommended for those who want to understand the basics of c#.net core.

This course is a quick guide on how to create an ASP.Net MVC Core application. I watched it, and read his book at the same time...(this course is almost identical to the first half of the book). To get the most out of this - I think you should follow along and create what he creates. I have watched other related courses, so I had prior knowledge but still found this course helpful.

The instructor explains pretty clearly. The basic concepts of ASP.NET Core 2 MVC are covered. However, the very downside of this course is that only very basic materials are mentioned. For instance, there is no relationships between EF entities. This is certainly very very far away from the real-world applications.

The teacher speaks very monotonously. It seems he is just reading a book. His explanations often don't go with what he is showing on the screen. So it is very difficult to follow what he tries to explain.

Thanks Jonas for the very good introduction to ASP .Net Core 2.0,I really enjoyed following your course, no time to sleep :)I recommend this course but only if you already have a previous experience with ASP .NET.I really enjoyed the form authentication part with the identity context, I still think it could be more explain, but it does the job. This course creates a full project from scratch and no more magic with ASP .NET Core when doneThank you and Well done

I don't see a logical structure yet

Very straight forward, appears to follow his book.

great so far!!

Great course

He is the best lecturer.
