Un must

The course presents easily understood examples to demonstrate each topic. There is an a book that follows each topic. I found it to be useful to follow along with the book in parallel with the videos.

I am still in the introductory section but so far all seems straight forward.

I liked how the course is structured, and how the examples are presented. You can also download them. I appreciated that throughout the course more context is given, in terms of what options are besides what is presented. It gives the bigger picture. I haven't gone through all the sections because I am not new to JavaScript and to programming. The course is not limited to basics, so it may address to beginners (new to js and new programming) but also to new to js but with programming experience.

I am a retired professional mainframe programmer/analyst. I am trying to learn a variety of PC type programming mostly for my own personal use and in case I get an opportunity to work.\nI have already studied the basics (no pun intended) of several object-oriented languages including Java, so what I wanted from this course was the details of JavaScript and how it differs from those langueages. This course was very helpful in satisfying that purpose for me I have skimmed thru the course the first time without stopping to do the hands-on work, but I expect to come back taking it more slowly and working at least some examples for myself. (FYI my professional expertise is in IBM zOs Assembler and COBOL.)

I enjoyed learning about AJAX, Canvas, and jQuery.

I really am liking this course. I highly recommend it. This coming from a 12 year old.

Pretty good course, there are just a few parts where some concepts don't have an absolute in-depth explanation, but it still does a good enough job to describe how things generally work.\n\nThankfully, the course comes with a free 73 page book that goes into deeper explanation for those chapters that are not fully detailed on the videos. So really in the end, all grounds are covered.\n\nI definitely recommend this course, and make sure to read the book that is included, as it will only help you further ingrain your understanding of JavaScript.
