The course is very informative. I am learning a lot. However, I wish there were problems or exercises designed to reinforce the material already covered. The quiz's are okay but I would rather learn by doing something.

Good information, and I like that it's extremely specific to C# (no time wasted on comparison to other general-purpose programming languages). It's certainly starting from first principles, so be aware of a slow start. One thing I cannot stand is the slow cadence of his voice. I have to listen to these on at least 1.25x speed.

Huw is very knowledgeable to the subject. That is clear from how he teaches the course. However, this course is very cut and dry with very little hands on. Instead of giving students challenges through the course, it is sitting and listening to him show things without having the students check for understanding. I'm using this course as a refresher however, I feel like I get distracted easily when listening to him go on and on without really getting my hands dirty. Sure, I can copy the code from what he is explaining but am I really learning anything? Not really. If there were challenges when explaining data types or functions, students could retain the information better instead waiting for a quiz without really doing anything.

A great beginner course for learning C# and programming in general. Though, if you are completely new to coding, such as myself, be ready to do further research on some core elements as certain topics within the course suffer slightly from "The Curse of Knowledge". However, once you've acquired a good understanding of the basic terms, the clear, concise and well organized information in this course will have you coding your own basic C# programs in no-time.

This course is similar to Learning Java and Pascal since it always has the similar references to Adventure game and this is a real lite type of course to learn Visual Studio C#.

The course is OK as about a language overview. The course gets boring as you are put as a listener till the end of the course. No multiple teachings styles are applied such as Quiz sessions, more elaborated pictures, challenges and so on. Also I notice that along all the course the author talks looking the code without even referencing the file he is talking about, so sometimes you feel lost about where you are. Apart from this no doubt about the Author, very known and is an authority in this field.

I enjoyed listening to the lectures. It was a good introduction to C#. I'm experienced with open source languages which are not strongly typed so a lot of this is new to me & the course was good at explaining it.

This course is good because it's very organized and the teacher clearly has good teaching skills. However for me, I will continue to the end because I'm looking for more advanced subjects.

Huw Cooingbourne's course offers thorough and clear explanations covering a broad range of C# programming topics. The support documents for his students include a written manual and example programs for each of the topics. His quiz questions are fairly easy but work surprisingly well to reward student efforts, encourage further learning, and actually help to organize the instructive material and digest concepts.
