Course Description
This course will lay the foundations of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) in your mind, allowing you to progress to more systematic and cleaner Programming methods.
The course is aimed at students who have at least some coding experience, preferably with C# (but Java or any other similar language is also acceptable).
There are so many things that you will learn in this course, some of the most noted ones are:
- What is an object and a class
- What is object oriented programming
- Class Constructors
- Namespaces
- Should you or should you not use the "this" keyword
- Fields and Properties
- Different ways in which Properties can be used
- Const and Readonly constants, the difference between them and how to use them
- Static Fields and Static (Singleton) Classes
- Enumerations
- Access Modifiers
- The 4 Pillars of Object Oriented Programming - Inheritance, Abstraction, Encapsulation, Polymorphism
- Many, many quality code guidelines
Each of these topics will be looked upon in great detail, and each of them are accompanied by a variety of Exercises. Practice makes perfect.
There are tons and tons of tutorials on Youtube, so why would you have to pay for this course?
The answer is very simple, in this course you will get every single lecture systemized in such way, that it ensures smooth transition between the previous and the following topic. Guaranteeing great learning experience.
There are no stones left unturned, everything is explained in great detail (but not too much, that would be boring :) )
The video lectures in the course are produced with the highest possible audio and video quality. No static noises to disturb you while you watch the videos, no blurry images, everything is crystal clear with crisp audio!

I have graduated at Technical University of Varna as a Robotics Engineer. With several years of experience as a Passionate Developer and Engineer, I am now an Online Entrepreneur. Teaching is one of my passions, and what better and more impactful way to teach, than to do it online with thousands of students?
Currently focusing on providing quality education to tens of thousands of students across the globe, on subjects including:
- Programming, focusing on the C# Programming Language
- MATLAB, because this is a scientific tool that no scientist can do without
- Running Online Businesses that Earn Passive Income
For the past four years I have focused on the above and I have never stepped into the 9 to 5 world, I have worked in a company only once in my entire life and it lasted only 2 months. That's when I realized that, I can't learn the things that I want and I can't buy the things that I want buy working for someone else. You should start working for yourself aswell!
It does not matter if you want to become a developer or to run niche sites around the web, you can do both of these things in your own time as a freelancer or a business owner. And I can teach you how to do both of these things.

Great course for learning and understanding OOP. The courser is to take you from some understanding of OOP to having a good working knowledge, you will need some knowledge of C# as its not a beginners guide into the language as a whole (as stated in the prerequisite for the course). The course is well paced and makes you write code from previous lessons, cementing the concepts in. Language of the tutor is easily understood. The course doesn't just give you all the information but wants you to break things and research, which is what programming is all about. I found the course engaging. As with most Udemy courses, this course was released over 6 years ago, so I wouldn't expect the tutor to reply to messages, however the more advanced learners do reach out to help. W3Schools and MDN docs are the resources I used for this course. All in all I learnt a lot and still use it for reference in my current .NET role.

The course helped me to develop an understanding of OOP which is what it's supposed to do. At some points in the course I missed a bit more explanation on the 'why'. Tod for instance mentions that he had a hard time in the beginning himself to understand Interfaces. While I got that concept right away I have a harder time understanding Polymorphism. With some of these concepts it would have been easier for me to understand them with very bare-bones examples. But, overall, thanks Tod for helping me grasp OOP.

I took this course in order to learn a new programming language. I am proficient in Python, but I felt like I wanted to expand out. In other programming courses I've taken, the solutions we've built were based on the lesson. So one minute we could be designing a person class, and in the next lecture designing a clock. But Tod started with 1 solution, and we kept working on it throughout the course. It made it much easier to understand WHY we were doing things. The code transforms and changes in real world applications as you find a need to implement a new type of concept. As we learned a new topic/concept, we would edit previous code. While it may be annoying for some people to have to rewrite code, this is something you'll have to get used to in the real world. So the way the course was laid out was perfect, and really gets you thinking like a developer who has to write at a professional level. I would recommend this course to anyone looking to improve their C# skills!

Exceptional. really strong explanation I would prefer that parts like Polymorphism to be first explained as a standalone, I mean a clean code, then embed the code into the Warriors game, this will be prefect. Other than this, really recommended. Make sure you take the free "Basics of Object Oriented Programming with C#" course before you dive into this. Thanks Good luck

At first the course may feel a little to fast paced but Tod explains the differences, the whys and the why nots in a very precise, basic and easily understandable way. No fancy project that steals your attention from the essentials. In this course you get what you asked for and i will no doubt return when i struggle with my programming and when i have to decide how to structure and create my own projects.

Pros: - Really like the exercises - Like that the course was following the SOLID Software design principles - I am a structured person and this knowledge provided me with more confidence in implementing my own projects. It also helped bring a more solid foundation and understanding of the principles behind OOP. Con: - Found the section 40. Difference between .base and .this keywords a little confusing and incoherent.

This was a great refresher course. Knew most this previously but have not coded in C# for a while. Filled in a few holes in my knowledge which was good. Looking forward to the more advanced course which I have. The section on virtual methods and overloads was introduced a little abruptly in my opinion and did not mention the use of new but over all very good.

The coarse is well-developed and really practical and the teacher doesn't stray from the main topic in any lecture at all! So he's really transparant and clear when explaining the topics throughout the entire coarse. All I can say is that I should give this coarse 5 stars, but I didn't because this is the kind of lecture I'd expect when I pay for information, and that's the 4,5 star context on Udemy. So it's basicly a 5 star coarse in "regular" terms. He give EXACTLY what he promised and did a perfect job! He gave in-depth examples and alternative approaches to understanding and implementing the concepts, and I believe he couldn't have done much better at all! I recommend this coarse, and perhaps will follow some of his other coarses in the near future as well. He did many times better in explaining and teaching, than my actual teacher in university. So this is definatly NOT A WASTE OF YOUR MONEY! About contacting him.. I don't know what he's like, or anything about his availablility. it basicly never took more than looking twice at his video's for me to grasp the concept and started applying it right away with proper instructions given throughout the coarse. So I didn't need to ask any questions at all. One note though, you may want to follow a short coarse on C# basics first, covering some basic programming concepts like sequences, iterations and loops, and arrays. Getting accustomed to the C# syntax and semantics might be helpfull as well. But if/when you grasp those concepts, I guess you're basicly set to start with this coarse. So good luck! Thanks Tod! Hope you're doing well! Really gratefull!

At the beginning I had a love-hate relationship with the course because I have too many questions while I was working in the course project. Just be patient, at the end everything will make sense and you will be able to entirely complete the project. Tod is a programmer guru and I have learn SO MUCH from him. I´m just waiting for Tod to share his project code so I can compare the architecture, logic and implementation and learn any best practice I missed during the course. He told me he will be doing it during the next days so I cannot be happiest and thankful enough for all I have learned.

I'm a fan of Tod's simple to understand explanations and examples; concise with no waffle. Having now finished the course I can stand by my original review above. One thing that I was able to understand from this course in particular compared to others was Interfaces. My only complaint, and it's really minor, is that there is no completed project file to download to see how Tod implemented his game logic. If this gets added then this will change to a 5 star review!
