Code of Conduct
The house rules for reviews, comments and anything else you post on CourseDuck. They exist so that a course's rating means something.
-
Review courses you have actually taken
Write about your own experience: what level you started at, what you got out of it, what you would change. A review of a course you have not taken, or of the instructor as a person, is removed.
-
Be specific and fair
Praise and criticism are both welcome when they are about the course: the teaching, the material, the pace, the value for money. Your star rating should match what you wrote.
-
Be respectful
No harassment, hate speech, threats or personal attacks on instructors, other learners or our team. Disagree with a review? Write your own.
-
No spam, no paid reviews
No affiliate links, discount codes, links to your own products or anything unrelated to the course. Instructors and course providers may not review their own courses, arrange or pay for reviews, or review a competing course without saying who they are. Asking students for five-star reviews in exchange for anything counts.
-
Keep private things private
Do not post anyone's contact details or personal information, and do not paste in copyrighted course material.
-
One person, one account
Do not create extra accounts to review or vote more than once, and do not pretend to be someone else.
How we moderate
We read every review that is reported to us and may edit, hide or remove anything that breaks these rules, and we close accounts that keep breaking them. What we never do is remove a negative review because a course provider does not like it; that promise is the whole point of the site, and you can read more about it on our About page.
To report a review or comment, email mkuhlman12@gmail.com with the link and a line on what is wrong with it. We usually answer within a day.
