Course Description

On this course, you'll be introduced to C#, a language often celebrated as a hybrid that merges the robust, low-level capabilities of C and C++ with modern programming paradigms. C# is not just another language within the .NET framework; it has emerged as one of the most favored due to its simplicity, type safety, and seamless integration with the Microsoft ecosystem.

Throughout the course, you'll discover how C# can be leveraged for a multitude of applications. It's exceptionally powerful for creating Windows desktop applications, where it thrives in environments requiring high performance and graphical user interfaces. Beyond desktops, C# excels in game development, particularly with engines like Unity, making it a go-to choice for both indie developers and large studios.

Moreover, C# is not confined to Windows alone. It's increasingly utilized in web development, offering robust solutions for server-side programming, including frameworks like ASP.NET. The language's versatility extends to mobile development as well. With tools like Xamarin, C# developers can write cross-platform applications that run natively on iOS, Android, and beyond, without compromising on performance or user experience.

By the end of this course, you'll not only understand C#'s syntax and structure but also how to apply it in diverse scenarios, from traditional software to cutting-edge mobile and web technologies.

Ervis Trupja

Hi everyone! I'm Ervis, and I'm thrilled to be here at Udemy guiding you through the world of building apps by coding along.

My passion for programming is fueled by a strong foundation in mathematics and data structures. While I'm a .NET developer at heart, thanks to the vibrant Microsoft ecosystem, I'm a firm believer in continuous learning and constantly expand my horizons by exploring new languages, paradigms, and ideas.

Outside of teaching, I work as a software engineer and founder. I'm currently building Reslug, a URL shortener, QR code generator, and link-in-bio platform built on .NET 9 and Azure. A lot of the patterns I cover in my courses, clean architecture, EF Core, authentication, multi-tenancy, come straight from problems I solve there day to day.

When I'm not coding or recording, you'll find me lost in a good book or exploring a new corner of the world. Travel and reading keep me curious and feed how I approach problems.

Excited to build alongside you and turn your programming goals into real, working software.

Such an awesome course!! It perfectly covers all the basics. I really enjoyed the coding exercises. Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Professor Ervis!!!

Great beginner-friendly course! Everything was explained clearly and simply, and the examples made it easy to understand C#. I enjoyed the lessons and learned a lot. Highly recommended!

Kurs jest super, lepiej rozumiem treść po angielsku niż większość polskich kursów w ojczystym języku. Nie kończąc darmowego kursu, kupiłem następne 2 płatne. The course is great, I understand the English content better than most Polish courses. Without completing the free course, I bought the next 2 paid ones.

It's short and quick course for Refresher on C#, but it doesn't take you on in-depth training for the same. If few exercises could have been added to enforce the learning of the course videos instead of just trying to replicate why the trainer did on tutorial. Overall it's good, but could be better with quizzes and exercises.

Great course to learn the basics/advanced techniques of C#. No real room to follow up or try the things yourself, but other than that if you are knowledgeable or just want to learn a new thing or two and then research it yourself - a great way to get the first explanation in!

Good stuff for someone who has a basic level of understanding of the language The Content overall is Awesome, however, it only covers some of the basic important stuff. Too many distractions asking to subscribe the youtube channel that caused me to take my eyes of the content begin taught Over I would rate it 4.5 for the effort and content

Glad I found this course on Udemy! I learned a lot about C# in just a few hours. Even though I had no prior-knowledge about C# the teacher explained all relevant topics in a clear way to me. @Ervis Trupja: Thank you so much for this great course!

This was one of the best basic explanations of C# I have found. I have watched many "code by example" tutorials, and none of them explained the basic breakdown as well as this. I gained more of an understanding of C# through this tutorial in a couple days, than i have in weeks of watching other online videos and tutorials. I would only add that when going over the collections, if the viewer opts to start a new project for each section like I did, they must add the using statement "using System.Collections; " as it is not there by default when beginning a new project in visual studio

The tutorial is good, yet the title is misleading. It's by no means Beginner to Advanced tutorial. But it is good quick overview of C# and it's syntax for someone who is at least familiar on a basic level with coding in other language. It's not about developing any coding skills - just about getting a vague idea about C# and it's absolutely FINE for 3h course! I find it a good introduction to more in-depth and hands-on learning :)
