React From The Ground Up (Udemy.com)

Instructor is clear in the videos, and responsive. In addition, the example simple Counter Challenge project is well chosen in my opinion, which he used to improve and build on. I like that he covered certain baffling parts of React/ES6 and repeats some coding that can help drill it. Also, course materials are added before I can complete. Those who find it slow to start can just skip or speed up the video. Simply, it is a really good React course for a React beginner - someone who knows some JS and wants to quickly understand enough to code React. (I think I know what I'm talking after learning from some other sources.) This is one of, if not, the best React material for me. Thanks Tim!

As a developer of 20 years, I like to learn a new language from the bottom up. This is what this tutorial does. It assumes you know some basic concepts of languages (although it does explain scopes a bit, which you should probably already understand). The only downside is the lecturer speaks really really really slow. I hit the 1.5x, this seems to be a good speed for me to follow.

Content could be a bit more clearer and some extra time spent on how different components are connected together. Overall, worth the 15$, I paid for it. If I was to add in my experience of the annoying rock music that begins with every video; negative stars would be given (fully aware that I cannot do that). But you can just forward that part to the actual content - still annoying tho! But left that out of the rating as I felt it would be unfair.

This is a pretty good course! Especially for beginners!

Nice introduction to react. One of the few courses where I felt I actually learnt something.

it was good but should be updated for react 16.x

I knew a lot of javascript before I started this, but I didn't know anything about React. This got me from 0 to doing anything I get my mind to with React in no time.

Because of level of details. But it can be little bit faster... also, I would like to see version of react in description of tutorial before I buy it.

This course is good, but a bit outdated.

Also I was confused at the beginning of the course with coding in entire index.html file. I understand that it might be easier for presentational reasons, but still it is not the way it should be.

However, I would like to give my great appreciation to Tim Knight. I had some experience using react before the course, nevertheless I found many new and important things for deep understanding.

Explanation was very clear and concise

Comprehensive instruction great for beginners. Pace is perfect. Tim's explanations are spot on and easy to understand. Course goes through beginning steps and shows how the processes change when setting up a complete project from scratch.
