This is a sampler, not a deep course. Maximilian Schwarzmüller spends roughly an hour and a half each on Vue, React and Angular, then closes with a 64 minute comparison section on when to pick which. The syllabus shows 144 lectures across 8 sections, just under 8 hours in total, plus short detours into where plain JavaScript falls short and what Webpack and build workflows do. It's aimed at people who know basic JavaScript, feel lost among the frameworks, and want a grounded way to choose one before committing to a full course on it.

Reviewers say the teaching is the draw. Max explains what he does and why on every step, and several students say the comparison helped them settle on a framework. One reviewer with only a little JavaScript said they could follow with some Googling, and another with React experience still found the differences worth the time. The complaints are mild. One student found it hard to keep the pros and cons of all three straight by the end. There are no quizzes or coding exercises, so you have to build alongside the videos yourself. About 2,150 of the 3,300 reviews are five stars, with only 37 at one or two.

The bigger caveat is age. The last update was November 2022, and the description still talks about Angular 2 and 4, so expect older syntax and tooling in places, even if the concepts hold up. Unlike the Vue courses listed beside it, only about 100 minutes here are about Vue. That is the point: it helps with the choice, it doesn't make anyone job ready. Buy it if choosing a framework is the problem right now. If the choice is already made, put the money into a full course on that one framework instead.

After learning the basics about JavaScript, the JavaScript world can be very intimidating. There are lots of different frameworks like Angular, React or Vue, libraries and other packages (like webpack). 

You’ll quickly see yourself ask questions like:

  • Which framework should you learn? Angular, React.js or Vue.js?

This course will help you with that! 

You’ll get an introduction into the three most important JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React.js and Vue.js) and you’ll also get a detailed comparison! This will then allow you to pick other resources or courses to dive super-deep into your chosen framework whilst having a solid foundation already.

Throughout the course, we’ll dive into the basics of these frameworks but we’ll also have a look at why we use them to begin with. The role of jQuery and how these frameworks differ from jQuery will be clarified, too! 

Which framework should you learn?

Not only are we going to dive into the basics of the three most popular JavaScript frameworks, this course will also draw a detailed comparison. A couple of different dimensions will be considered to find out which framework might be the perfect tool for the job you have at hand!

Even though I had a bigger's knowledge of React, this course was packed with information on the differences between the 3 frameworks. It was a bit difficult to juggle the pros and cons of all three. I think I'll need to spend a bit more time soon to briefly review the highlights of each of them once more.

MAX clearly explained the basics of all the 3 frameworks. I felt that simple use cases of advance concepts like state management and dependency injections could have also been included/explained. Overall, it was short and sweet.

Max is indeed a superb trainer! He provides very clear explanation on the concepts. Highly recommend this course to those who are new to Vue, React and Angular to understand the overview and differences between them. This course would definitely save you tremendous amount of time compared to if you were to read up on these topics on your own. Definitely a course not to be missed!

The course was wonderful, but I'm not very good at listening to English and the subtitles of the videos were all wrong, which ended up delaying my understanding in some parts, but overall, the course is very good.

A nice introduction into some of the most popular js frameworks available today. It is very difficult to know how deep you should go into each framework to be able to compare them, but I think there is a good balance here. The code examples are good and the discussion about the frameworks strengths and weaknesses is very useful.

It was great learning in short, getting brief of all the frameworks and decision to choose one over another . It is great that only one example is being used in exercise to showcase comparisons one framework over another , as it became more conspicuous and gives direction which framework is best suited in which condition. At the end comparisons between frameworks were good . Would be good if instructor can introduce separate react course as well down the line.

I'm very happy with this short and quick overview of the 3 main JS frameworks and the differences between each of them. Also a very good last module where the frameworks are compared and weighted on several important aspects.
