Hear what my students have to say
Absolutely fantastic tutorial series. I cannot thank you enough. The quality is first class and your presentational skills are second to none. Keep up this excellent work. You really rock!- Paul Whitehouse
The instructor, Max, is very enthusiastic and engaging. He does a great job of explaining what he's doing and why rather than having students just mimic his coding. Max was also very responsive to questions. I would recommend this course and any others that he offers. Thanks, Max!

As a person new to both JavaScript and Angular 2 I found this course extremely helpful because Max does a great job of explaining all the important concepts behind the code. Max has a great teaching ability to focus on what his audience needs to understand.
This Course uses TypeScript
TypeScript is the main language used by the official Angular team and the language you'll mostly see in Angular tutorials. It's a superset to JavaScript and makes writing Angular apps really easy. Using it ensures, that you will have the best possible preparation for creating Angular apps. Check out the free videos for more information.
TypeScript knowledge is, however, not required - basic JavaScript knowledge is enough.
Why Angular?
Angular is the next big deal. Being the successor of the overwhelmingly successful Angular.js framework it's bound to shape the future of frontend development in a similar way. The powerful features and capabilities of Angular allow you to create complex, customizable, modern, responsive and user friendly web applications.
Angular 8 simply is the latest version of the Angular framework and simply an update to Angular 2.
Angular is faster than Angular 1 and offers a much more flexible and modular development approach. After taking this course you'll be able to fully take advantage of all those features and start developing awesome applications immediately.
Due to the drastic differences between Angular 1 and Angular (=Angular 8) you don't need to know anything about Angular.js to be able to benefit from this course and build your futures projects with Angular.

Experience as (Web) Developer

Starting out at the age of 13 I never stopped learning new programming skills and languages. Early I started creating websites for friends and just for fun as well. Besides web development I also explored Python and other non-web-only languages. This passion has since lasted and lead to my decision of working as a freelance web developer and consultant. The success and fun I have in this job is immense and really keeps that passion burningly alive.
Starting web development on the backend (PHP with Laravel, NodeJS, Python) I also became more and more of a frontend developer using modern frameworks like React, Angular or VueJS 2 in a lot of projects. I love both worlds nowadays!
As a self-taught developer I had the chance to broaden my horizon by studying Business Administration where I hold a Master's degree. That enabled me to work in a major strategy consultancy as well as a bank. While learning, that I enjoy development more than these fields, the time in this sector greatly improved my overall experience and skills.
Experience as Instructor
As a self-taught professional I really know the hard parts and the difficult topics when learning new or improving on already-known languages. This background and experience enables me to focus on the most relevant key concepts and topics. My track record of many 5-star rated courses, more than 700,000 students on Udemy as well as a successful YouTube cha

Max is very knowledgable and has great enthusiasm for technology and programming in general. He knows Angular in and out. And if you are here to just learn Angular you're at the right place. However, if you are here to build beautiful looking portfolio apps using Angular, this isn't really a course that helps you do that, read on below if you want to know more.
My biggest gripe with this course is that, the projects in this course are extremely bland and boring specially in the UI Department. For example, the main project, 'the Recipe Book' project looks pretty dull with that bootstrap 3 css. But the mini projects for each section, now that's just another level, none of them have any UI, except maybe a bunch of textboxes, buttons or links. I understand that the goal is to just learn the concepts of Angular, but it doesn't hurt to learn them while building good looking apps does it? I mean Max has put time into building and scaffolding those projects, he could've added a better design or something to it. I've previously done courses from other instructors, one of them, Jonas Schmetdmann has a course on Javascript, the goal of that course is to just teach Javascript, but he makes us build really beautiful looking projects in the process, that sparks the student's interest and makes them want to build more such websites, using tools provided by the language. Now, Angular is a framework which is based on JS and it provides way..way more tools than what just JS does, so technically you can build a more 'fuller' project or app using Angular, however, these projects we build in this course, although they have the functionality are basically a 2 out of 10 in the design department. It is important to keep in mind that 'Design' is a very important aspect of 'Web Development'. Specially if you are learning Angular to be a UI developer, obviously you want to be able to make your website look good, no? But this course doesn't tell you how to do that. A note to students who are new to programming or web development in general is that you can build way better looking apps using Angular.
In Summary, if you just want to learn the concepts of Angular this course is fine. But if you want to learn to build 'beautiful' looking websites with Angular or if you want to complete this course with a set of good looking portfolio projects, this isn't the course for you. I personally have been building web apps for quite sometime now and am writing my own css code for the Recipe Book project while learning Angular because I think the way it looks right now is very boring.

perfect course to start and at the same time get a real deep dive into angular

Thorough and very clearly presented

By Taronish Dastur on 11/7/2020

The course was well structured and informative. It helped me learn the concepts of angular with no prior knowledge about it. The only point I would mention is that the second half of the course focusses on the code without actually explaining the concepts separately which makes it harder to understand.
