This is a Udemy Bestseller with about 295,000 students and roughly 59,000 reviews averaging 4.7. It is a language course, not a framework course. The syllabus walks from basic types through classes, generics, derived types, and both flavors of decorators, then adds short modules on Vite, Webpack, React, and Node with Express. The audience is working JavaScript developers who have never used TypeScript, or who have used it loosely and want to know what the compiler is actually doing when it complains.

Reviewers say Maximilian Schwarzmüller explains things clearly and in a sensible order, and one reviewer says tsconfig and .d.ts files stopped feeling daunting. The March 2025 re-record added over ten hours and covers newer features like satisfies. The complaints are consistent. There are only 8 quizzes and no coding exercises, and one reviewer notes the quizzes sit in the legacy sections, so students who want practice have to make their own. Pace splits people: beginners call some examples too complex and the Node section rushed, while experienced developers find the early chapters slow. One reviewer notes some mumbling.

At 22.6 hours it is long for a language most people pick up alongside React or Angular, but the legacy chapters are clearly labelled and easy to skip, and the course was updated again in April 2026. Starting out at the age of 12 I never stopped learning new programming skills and languages. Early I started creating websites for friends and just for fun as well. Besides web development I also explored Python and other non-web-only languages. This passion has since lasted and lead to my decision of working as a freelance web developer and consultant. The success and fun I have in this job is immense and really keeps that passion burningly alive.

Starting web development on the backend (PHP with Laravel, NodeJS, Python) I also became more and more of a frontend developer using modern frameworks like React, Angular or VueJS in a lot of projects. I love both worlds nowadays!

I also build full-stack applications and acquired expert DevOps and cloud computing knowledge - proven by the many AWS certifications I hold (incl. the top-level Solutions Architect Professional certification).

As a self-taught developer I had the chance to broaden my horizon by studying Business Administration where I hold a Master's degree. That enabled me to work in a major strategy consultancy as well as a bank. While learning, that I enjoy development more than these fields, the time in this sector greatly improved my overall experience and skills.

This course is, at the same time, direct to the point and complete. For those of you that already know TypeScript, it's a good course to go a little deeper into it, but if your first time contact, just like me, you will easily understand because the structure and method are really step by step for each lesson. In the end, I really enjoyed it.

This course is friendly and easy to understand for those who know only bits and pieces of TypeScript but without a comprehensive view of it. I really appreciate the lectures on types, interfaces, enums, generics, namespaces, and classes. They are made more accessible. The part on tsconfig.json and .d.ts is also helpful; they have become more meaningful and less daunting. I would appreciate this course more if the instructor could have spent time on comparing the constructs in TypeScript and their suitable scenarios, and also modern best practices (e.g. enums are less preferred than an object typed with `as const`; namespaces may seem less necessary in the face of modern ESM imports)

This the best course for me yet. its interesting but I want particle example also with these from industry So I think my logic building starts getting better with each type. It will may increase the video time . However, understanding become far better with this technique.

No reason not to give it a 5 star. The course is a deep dive into TS. If you want something like a crash course, don't buy it because it goes deep into TS.

Even though in your Angular course you suggest that we can learn TypeScript along the way, I gained an excellent insight by taking this course first.
