Is this course for you?
This course is very practical, about 90%+ of the lessons will involve you coding along with me on this project. If you are the type of person who gets the most out of learning by doing, then this course is definitely for you.
Important: This course is aimed at beginners but there is an expectation you have written some code before - it is not suitable for those who have never coded before.
On this course we will build an example E-commerce store, completely from scratch using the DotNet CLI tool and the Create-React-App tool to help us get started. All you will need to get started is a computer with your favourite operating system, and a passion for learning how to build an application using .Net and React.

Brilliant course! Fantastic instructor and covers so many backend and frontend technologies to give you a great base in learning how to create a full-stack e-commerce application. It was great to see it being kept up to date since I first enrolled in it a year ago (e.g. adding the FlyIO deployment after Heroku removed the free tier and also adding the sections to update to .Net 6 & 7 and React 18). I did have a few issues because I would leave the course for a while then come back and find it updated and had to jump around a bit to find the updated bits. Having access to the source code on GitHub helped though with comparing it to my code. One issue I would warn others of is that there is a bit where he updates all his packages to the latest versions. This caused problems for me, which took a while to figure out, as "yup" was updated to v1.x which had breaking changes to the v0.32.x used in the course. So when updating packages, be sure to check you are on at least the same major version as the course source code or else you may run into problems.

Neil has done an absolutely fantastic job with this course. He is very knowledgable on both C# and React and does an amazing job (sometimes going to painstaking lengths) to explain not only what we are doing but also why we are choosing one option over another. This is where real learning takes place. Anyone can throw up an demo app with little explanation of choosing one trade off vs another. I would absolutely take another of Neil's courses in future (hopefully on eventing with Kafka or RabbitMQ and .NET or Next.Js, Go, Python, Rust...)

Recommended for those with React and ASP.NET experience who want to learn how to set up a full stack application using these technologies. This course is advertised as beginner friendly but I highly disagree. You must already know the basics of React and ASP.NET to understand this course. Reading the docs for the stack should be enough. React and ASP.NET concepts are explained briefly, so if you are a beginner in either of the stacks, IMO you will have a harder time retaining/learning the concepts.

I found this course to be of high quality and well-tailored to my needs. The content was up-to-date and covered all the necessary concepts for creating an e-commerce website using React and .NET. The instructor's teaching style was engaging, and I found the course to be a valuable learning experience. My only complaint was the suggestion to delete the migrations folder, which is generally not considered a good practice. Overall, I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to learn React and .NET for e-commerce website development.

The course is amazing, it guides you from the very beginning through the completion of a full working app explaining every detail or passage. Neil teaches you how to structure a web app and why do so, great explanations. It's great to see where you start at the beginning of a section and after following it, the result achieved. I'm italian and i can say it's very easy to understand even by a non english person. If you want to understand how to build an app this is for sure the right course!

I have taken many courses to learn many skills and this is without question THE BEST I have come across for React with .NET. It is no joke whatsoever to say that you will progress from a beginner to advanced intermediate through Neil's excellent teaching and organization style. And he does not waste any time on fluff, giving you exactly what you need to learn and putting you to work right away coding it. Exceptional great job, Neil, thank you very very much for this and looking forward to more from you soon.

This education is perfect. I before had education about .net and Mvc together for e-commerce projects and I also did a few more projects with some methods but this course showed a new way of doing a website with .net + react which is most common currently. You will learn and practice anything you looking for during this course. Additionally, Neil is answering any question you ask whenever he is available. So, he is a great instructor and teaches very well. I definitely recommend

The instructor tells us how to do things, but doesn't explain why things are done in a certain way. This is nothing that google is not able to fix, but it would be nice if the instructor would give more details about why to use Redux, what reducers are, etc. Otherwise, the instructor is very knowledgeable on the topics they discuss and give plenty of opportunities for the student to spread their wings and make decisions on how to build their own application.

This is really amazing course for full stack developers from initial step to deployment. And the response to the questions is so quick that you always be on track. And used latest technologies whether it is .net core or reactjs or reduxtoolkit or name whatever you technology. And payment integration, authentication, custom components, hooks, and usage of material ui all topics are top notch. I suggest this is must taken course for react and .net core developers.

Terrific course, everything is explained in great detail, in an easy-to-understand manner. I'm familiar with most of the topics covered, but even though I've worked with them quite a lot, I discovered new things, and understood about things I never really understood before. Addition September 30th, 2022 Learning a lot in .NET, as well as increasing my React/Redux skills, as I'm halfway through the course. Look forward going through Identity, a topic on which I need to brush upon my skills. Checkout, Payments, and Roles, as well as Publishing will be interesting as well. Although deploying to Heroku is kind of obsolete, after they banned databases, making the platform practically useless.
