You know how to use SketchUp to create 3D models of your projects, but you need to create a 2D presentation of your model in order to communicate your design to other people. Matt Donley has been using Sketchup since 2007. As a carpenter, he started using Sketchup to model things around his house, but then began modeling his customer's homes in order to help them visualize their construction projects. He wrote the "SketchUp to LayOut" book to help other construction professionals learn how to create construction documents using SketchUp and LayOut. He shares his Sketchup knowledge online, where he creates tutorials and videos to help people learn how to 3D model with Sketchup.

Very good explanations. The teacher doesn't seem to be answering questions anymore- this was from 2014 I believe. I am an architect trying to learn to use Sketchup and Layout for a small house addition I'm doing. The presentation is awesome. I think he is on a PC- some of the screens don't look the same on a Mac.

I have used SKP as a modelling tool but have wanted to utilize it with layout to produce documentation. Taking the time out to up skill on SKP & Layout has been hard to achieve due to work demands. I am determined to make it happen so am going to back basics here hoping that this time I can make the jump. Cheers

I have just bought this course and the setup materials and information relates to Sketchup 2013.
I'm using Sketchup 2018
This make me feel that this course is out of date and isn't being supported and updated as the software develops.

The course seems a bit above my level. I don't have sketch up software yet . I bought this as a bundle from Tiny Homes and Thought it would enable me to make my own layout for my very own tiny home. So far it doesn't seem to be what I thought it was. I hope after watching some more videos the course will enable me to make a layout or use parts of there layouts to make my very own tiny home.
