This is a tool-by-tool AutoCAD course for the 2018 through 2021 versions, built from 21 sections and 186 lectures across about 18 hours. It starts with the interface and basic drawing, then moves through layers, dimensioning, blocks, external references, layouts and printing, sheet sets and customization. Near the end sits a section of practice drawings that includes a floor plan and a circuit diagram. The audience is students and working people who need general drafting skills rather than a specialty workflow.

Reviewers like how clear the lessons are. Words like detailed, easy to follow and good practicals come up again and again, and one says the instructor put a great deal of effort into making AutoCAD easy to understand. One engineer returning after about eight years away called it a good refresher before taking on some drafting at a new company. Complaints are rare, with 472 of 31,447 ratings at one or two stars. The one specific gripe in the sample comes from an interior design student who found it too focused on general commands and short on how to draw a plan.

The last update was May 2022, so anything newer than the 2021 release is not covered. The course page lists certification exam prep among its goals, and more than 124,000 people have taken it. this has been an easy course as a refresher and i have also learned so much more than I knew before as well. I haven't used autoCAD in 8 or so years and even then I wasn't very proficient, being and engineer, I relied on ym designers to do the autoCAD for the most part. Now I am joining a smaller company where I will be doing some of my own drafting and this has been so helpful in preparing me for that.

I really enjoyed this course. It takes you from absolute basics to advanced, professional-level AutoCAD skills in a very structured way. The instructor explains each tool clearly, uses practical examples, and makes sure you actually understand why you’re doing something instead of just following steps. The hands-on exercises/resources were especially helpful—by the time I reached the final modules, I felt confident enough to work on real-world drawings.
