This course is an excellent source of follow-along coding. This is certainly beneficial for beginners who want to test their skills at reading another person's code and figuring out the logic and flow. It's actually a recommended practice since you'll encounter other people's code in the real world. Even more is that he gives you a good foundation for you to improve upon the games in your own way. Even though the course says it's eight hours or so, I would highly recommend doing each section slowly. I would have liked a more in depth explanation of Swing, but this will definitely encourage me to learn more on my own.
I would say it does help to have some knowledge of Java before you start the course, as he goes over different a lot of material in a very short time.
All in all, a pretty good course for those who want to get into the GUI of Java Game Development. Thanks for the course!

I think this course is not very helpful and beginners will learn some really bad coding habits. Here's why:
1. I wish the implemented classes would be explained more thoroughly. So we're just copying without thinking.
2. I would like to see a small illustrated introduction on each video describing what we're going to do in this video and why we're doing it this way. This would allow the viewer to think about how to code it instead of just copying the code.
3. I'm a programmer hobbist and wanted to learn Java with this video. The code shown in the videos is quite bad in my opinion. It's difficult to read, the classes are too big - the code should be split into more but smaller classes (i.e. the ball and the player shouldn't be in the gamePlay class). The variables are sometimes named poorly (arg0 instead of naming the argument). And the game logic could be cleaner (movePlayer(amount) with a clamp on xposition instead of moveRight()/moveLeft() with if statments).
So all in all I'm quite disappointed and really can't recommend this course to anyone - not beginner nor advanced.

El curso dice como idioma espaol pero solo esta en ingles y lo que es peor aun el subtitulo es el ingles automatico por lo que las traducciones son muy pobres en algunas palabras lo que hace mas dificil la comprension de lo que se esta explicando

need to clear my doubts, which would be more helpful in learning......
need to explain a bit clearer...

This course is good but definitely not for beginners, created for those who already know some stuffs to play with.
