Hibernate: Advanced Development Techniques (Udemy.com)

That's really an amazing course I was looking for, to develop my project. Youtube and other turtorials wasn't worth it to me. I hope this course will be updated day by day. If you are a beginner just completed CRUD using Spring Boot & REST, you must learn those things. When you'll jump on software industry, you are going to need those stuffs. It will be wise to get those things completed before the jump and get yourself ready. About the instructor: The instructor Chád Darby will always feed you each and everything. He is the best instructor of Udemy and in the software industry. He is the first instructor who made Spring Boot easier for everyone since the .xml files era(2016) while we were struggling to learn Spring and we confidently learned spring mvc and spring boot. best wishes to him!.

The instructor did an excellent job explaining the concepts in a structured and easy-to-follow way. The examples on mapping Sets, Embeddables, and different Inheritance strategies were clear and practical. The teaching style is solid — concise, logical, and beginner-friendly even for advanced topics. However, I felt that some important advanced Hibernate areas were missing, such as caching, fetch types, entity graphs, criteria API, and performance tuning. Covering these would have made the course even more complete. Overall, this is a great course for mastering Hibernate mappings, but it’s not a full deep dive into production-level Hibernate.

Great course from Chad as usual, clear and informative teaching, thanks a lot. I gave 4 starts instead of 5 for 2 main reasons: (1) Some of the info in this course is outdated, such as using hibernate.cfg.xml and using latest version (2) Need to have more sections about using advanced Hibernate with Spring Boot, Validation, DB migration tools etc. (course is too short IMHO).

Very interesting course! It's an excellent in-depth look at using the Hibernate framework. Chad is an excellent teacher, he explains the concepts step by step, making them very clear. "Unfortunately, the automatic translation of the italian subtitles didn't work properly, but I was still able to understand thanks to my previous knowledge of English."

Would recommend this course to everyone with some basic knowledge of Hibernate and JPA. However, it seemed to have been elongated a bit more than necessary, for a course that is labeled as "advanced". That said, the course did provide immense value and offered numerous practical insights, making it easier to apply the knowledge in real-world applications.

Great course! Before course I did not use mapping collection, I just was using OneToMany relations. But now I know when and how to use mapping for lists, sets and even sorted maps)) Thanks a lot for recap inheritance strategies! As usual - many pictures to explain theoretical matherial! Awesome!

This course isn't bad. It uncovers how SQL followed by java classes. It's plenty of examples with embedded collections and different type of inheritances. If you aren't deep in java and thirsty to knowing how to implement working with DB (over Hibernate), this course will suit you.

Chad is a real good teacher. He knows how to explain hard things in a easy way. He goes step by step and gives you all the material to repeat the result. I dont only learn with his courses but also enjoy the process. woooho!

The course covers most of the mapping features of hibernate, although, it is far from "Advanced Hibernate". Please pay attention that this course is only about mapping, so if you're looking for relations mapping, entity manager, transaction manager, session features and other "under the bonnet" things, you should pick another course.
