This is a build-along project course. Students make an online shop with an Angular front end and a Spring Boot REST backend on MySQL, across 327 lectures and about 26 hours. It expects working Spring Boot knowledge but teaches Angular from scratch, starting with three TypeScript sections and an Angular crash course before the shop begins. The project runs from product list, search and pagination through cart, checkout and order history, then adds login, HTTPS and Stripe payments. Chad Darby teaches it, with Harinath Kuntamukkala as co-instructor.

Reviewers like the teaching. They call it clear, well ordered and easy to follow, and one recent grad said it helped pull things together. The complaints are about age. Even with a January 2026 update, several students call the Angular version outdated, and one dates it to 2020 and 2021. Deprecated methods break along the way, one reviewer lost over two hours hunting for a replacement, and two say ChatGPT is almost essential to finish. Two reviewers single out the security section, and a few say the Angular explanations are thin, with newer features such as signals missing.

Still, the numbers are strong: 4.6 stars from 11,699 reviews, and 7,337 of them are five stars. Only about 217 are one or two stars. It reads as a good way to see how a full stack app fits together, if you can handle some version drift and do not mind looking elsewhere for current Angular practice. People who want modern Angular idioms or deeper theory should pair it with other material.

The code is mostly current, but sometimes I'll have to spend a while (the longest was over 2 hours) looking for the updated version of a deprecated method or process. Now that I've done it a few times, I'm faster at finding solutions. I suppose it's my own fault for wanting to use the current versions of these programs, but I want to be current! Great course nonetheless!

Great course overall. I use it as an introduction to the topics and works really well for me. Of course you should dive deeper into each topic on your own if you want better understanding and not just "do this and it'll work". I find practice along with the lesson helped a lot, what I do personally is watch the Overview video then go off and code everthing myself, if i get stuck I watch the overview again and/or research online from other sources until I can solve the problem, then i watch him code seeing what i did right and what I could do better. I gave 4 1/2 stars, just because some contents could and should be updated.

Great course for learning the angular environment and how it works. I've done a few similar course with Spring boot and the react framework. I'm learning that the best way to get value from these courses is, to build your own application along with this tutorial. It forces you to ask some questions that this tutorial doesn't necessarily dive into, in depth. You also go through videos here while asking yourself how to apply what you learn to your own application. Implementing what you learn isn't always a straight line. Some of the methods here have been deprecated and you need to google the newer solutions and why they are different to the ones taught here(the ones here still work by the way).

Would have ben a 5/5 for when it released, I think that the security videos need to be entirely remade and that subjects in angular could have been better, more fully explained. Overall the course was worth it, I learned a lot, teaching style made the material easily comprehensible and it was fun while it lasted. I would still buy it if I could go back.

Pros: This is so far one of the greatest courses in UDEMY. The discussion bad is well-responsive. This could be very helpful for any developer who hasn't got any chance to gain professional experience. This project can be a standard skeleton to learn each module of a big project that can be extended more. Cons: Can't believe that the user registration part wasn't demonstrated here. That's why I couldn't give 5 out of 5.

Very good course, i just dont like Okta thing. I love when i type all the segments of project. That is reason why i not use in that project Spring DATA REST i use Hibernate and JPA and type all querys. But great course!

Great course with plenty of foundational insights that are valuable to a developer's career. Naturally, for the best experience, future takers should be familiar with Spring Boot and be able to troubleshoot technology version discrepancies as they will encounter many differences when implementing this project. The Q&A section of the course is a great resource to start solving some of these issues, but the docs will be the most reliable location to understand and possibly fix the issues.
