Microservices with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Docker & Kafka (Udemy.com)

The course content is good and the teaching methodology is effective. However, I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 because some topics need updates to align with the current technology trends. The course currently covers Spring Boot 2.x.x and 3.x.x, but the active version is 4.x.x (4.0.1). Many topics, especially related to API Gateway and Spring Cloud, are not fully compatible with 3.x.x, and upgrading to Spring Reactive is essential. I noticed that some sections have been updated to 3.x.x, which is appreciated, but more updates are required across the course. My kind request is to update the documentation and attach it to the respective sections to reflect the latest versions and practices. Overall, I am satisfied with the teaching style and content, but the lack of updates concerned me, which is why I rated it 4 stars.

So far I have completed around 30% of the course but I feel that author has structured the course very well, explaining the basics first and making your foundation strong. Gradually moving to advance topics from the basics doesn't make you feel intimidated as you slowly gain the confidence as make the progress. You won't get overwhelmed easily with the content as each video is short and precise, gradually moving to advance topics. I wish spring security also would have been covered as any application is incomplete without the security aspect.

The tutorial is easy to understand, and I really appreciate the way the instructor repeats key concepts multiple times. This repetition helps beginners absorb and remember the material more effectively. The course is well-structured, with clear explanations and practical examples that make it easier to follow along. I also like how the instructor builds on each topic step by step, making complex ideas feel simple. Overall, it's a great tutorial for both beginners and those looking to strengthen their fundamentals. Highly recommended!

Good: He has taught the concepts from scratch, so anyone can learn easily. Infact it's a very good course for beginner to medium level knowledge in Spring boot and MS. He has repeated some key concepts while coding so it helps in familiarizing new concepts. Bad/Not good: This course doesn't have any project that is close to realtime project. The load balancing/discovery taught here is not used in actual projects(enterprize applications) . Also this course will not be of much help for a more experienced person. Suggestions: Kindly add one last project that will mock a enterprise application . It should cover how negative scenarios are handled in a synchronous and a event based(kafka) application.

Si quieres aprender arquitectura de microservicios con explicaciones detalladas, gráficos y varios proyector, este es el curso que debes tomar.

This course was very good. I really enjoyed it, and learned a lot about microservices. I recommend it to anyone who wants to learn microservices. Teacher explains every concept very clearly and gives a lot of practical examples. P. S: As a suggestion, update the section where we use OkHttp, because it changed in the new versions.

Ramesh is an excellent trainer who provides the best of his knowledge and shares his skill with his students. I have learned this course in a very interactive and good way. The best part of the course is getting to do practical just by watching Ramesh doing the same, though it took time to complete the 25.5 hours course and doing the same practical as Ramesh but it is equally fun and awesome to learn with Ramesh. I hope to see more Projects from Ramesh.

I have been working as software engineer for almost two years now. as self taught developer, I was having hard understanding microservices since I was more frontend guy. taking this course taught me a lot and I am able to apply this concept on my current company stories. I highly recommend this to anyone whether you are experienced developer , junior developer or students. I like the fact that Ramesh first explained the concept without implementation for you to trully understand how things are working and then jumping into documentation to help you better understand the documentation , which is crucial as the technology improves each day and finally implement. He also provides exercice to help you practive your knowledge. The course is really good and very rich in content. The instructor is very clear while explaining all the content throughout the course, I think it is one of the best courses that I've had regarding Spring Boot and Microservices using Kafka/RabbitMQ. Makes it look really simple. Even though I would've liked that the whole course would be about a large project that will be developed during the 18.5 hours and not a couple of smaller projects but either way the course is top-notch! Great job to the instructor!

The course generally does the job, but there are things that might be improved like spending more time explaining what's going on under the hood of the spring architecture in each particular project, being less repetitive within a frame of the same lesson, keeping the code in git repository in synch with what is being presented in the lectures.
