Course Description
In this hands-on project-oriented course, you will dive into the world of full-stack web app development using the powerful combination of Spring Boot 4 and React JS.
In this course, you will build two full-stack web applications (Employee Management System and Todo Management App) using Spring Boot 4, Spring Security 7, Spring Data JPA, JWT, React JS, and MySQL database.
In this course, we will use the latest version of Spring Boot (4+), Spring Security (7+), React JS (18+), and MySQL database (8+). We will use modern and popular tools to build full-stack web applications such as IntelliJ IDEA, VS Code, Maven, Postman, NPM, etc.
What is React JS?
React JS is a JavaScript library used to build user interfaces (UI) on the front end.
React is not a framework (unlike Angular, which is more opinionated).
React is an open-source project created by Facebook.
What is Spring Boot?
Spring boot to develop REST web services and microservices.
Spring Boot has taken the Spring framework to the next level. It has drastically reduced the configuration and setup time required for spring projects.
You can set up a project with almost zero configuration and start building the things that actually matter to your application.

The course is not Spring Boot 4 at all. The author only changed the tutorial title to Spring Boot 4, but all the videos are still very old, covering Spring 5 and Spring Boot 3.1. In lecture 13 and lecture 14, you can see the pom.xml. They only updated one lecture (lecture 15) using start.spring.io with Spring Boot 4 M3. Everything else is still the old Spring Boot 3, and there is no introduction to any new features of Spring Boot 4.

The course provides a decent introduction to Spring Boot and basic REST APIs, and gives a general idea of how a full-stack application works. However, the React part is poorly taught, and the sections on JWT and Spring Security are outdated, unclear, and feel unnecessary.

The course was well-structured, introducing Spring Boot concepts in a beginner-friendly way. The knowledgeable trainers provided clear, practical project guidance, making it easy to apply lessons to real-world scenarios. However, some methods used were deprecated, and updating these in future videos would make the training even better. Overall, a highly valuable experience that boosted my confidence for upcoming projects!

This is by far one of my most favorite Udemy courses. The instructor's pace is perfect for those with prior experience, not wasting time with things like "what is a variable" and the like. The materials / lectures are current and pertinent. I'm just over 1/3 through the course, and I will state that the pace of this course is ideal (for those with prior programming experience). I commend the instructor for creating a relatively short course covering the most relevant aspects, where others are 80 or more hours, which is insane. We are on Udemy to learn quickly, not spend weeks to pick up a new topic. I wish other instructors would do the same. Well done.

Hi Ramesh Sir, You did a great job with a lot of passion on delivering such a wonderful training with a valuable content and insights on Spring Boot ,JPA, DTOs, one-to-one, one-to-many relationships, Spring Security with Basic Authentication , Role based Authorization, JWT along with the Backend APIs integration with front end UI using React Js . And last finally you have provided such an amazing tailored made training with great explanation of each and every topic which we can use this gaining knowledge and experience to utilize in projects. Thank You Shanmukha

I think the backend part of the course was great. This course taught me how to integrate JWT Tokens into Spring Boot apps. This will be great because it will allow me to build full-stack applications. However, I think the front-end React part could be improved. For instance, as soon as we ask the user to register or login, why not create a context to hold that data and make it available for all components at once? That's usually the norm in React. Anything else was great and I will use the source code from this course to build my own Java backends

Has been a great start to the course, learned a few handy tricks, moreover provides you a streamlined learning environment where you can test your own knowledge, and enhance your understanding whilst following along. Nearly halfway through, and great flow of the course, have been able to push boundaries either sides in both React and SpringBoot applications whilst following the trunk of the course.
