Brad knows his shit! Not only does he explain the 'How ' but the " Why" in coding. Course is beginner friendly and advance knowing. Explains everything in this course in an easy to understand style. I'm very happy with this course and have many of Brad's courses. Was not thinking of learning some of the programs he teaches here but now I happy to say I know some react, node JS, MongoDB and more. Keep up the good work Brad and I look forward to New courses from you in the future.

I didn't come to this as a beginner programmer. I feel like I would have gotten lost if this was my first intro to programming as a concept, but as far as a person with basic programming skills learning web development, this was an extensive and well-explained course that somehow managed to not be overwhelming. I was able to retain the information pretty effectively, and I definitely feel empowered to implement everything I learned through the course.

I'm super happy with the array of current technologies that Brad introduces. Building the same small website (and adding features) using different approaches/frameworks/platforms really helped me understand the pros and cons, and which technologies are suitable for different use cases. If you are a beginner in coding, you'll need to do a lot of independent study of JavaScript to understand what you're typing. Brad shows all the steps, but doesn't go into extremely detailed explanations. This course is a great fast-moving way to build a real website with useful features and decide which tools and technologies you want to focus on next.

i needed to review again my css. and i was surprised with all the gotchas that he taught along the way. those were all problems that anyone would run into but would forget or would not remember how to fix. eg. inline-elements not respecting paddings, h1 and p tags in the hero section must wrap at a certain width. things like that. i love things like this that are taught out of experience. not some boring unapplied academic-fication of learning read by some school professor with powerpoint

Except that 13th chapter, everything looks flawless while coding along. Final part did not work as intended and I wonder why it is here after all. Search interface is somehow buggy and needs a fix with "#default-message" id, but to be frank I do not believe somebody could teach something out of this course. Intermediate skills required for the main part, and novice for the final chapter. I think ppl could miss further explanation of class and id. Like the git, node and mongoDB part though.

I definitely recommend the course and one of my favourite instructors. Brad is a well-informed, well-spoken, experienced, agreeable GUIDE. I like the way he has gone about delivering the course. In one of his 'calls' he mentions the amount of hours we have to spend programming, which is some 10,000 hours. If you do the math it is about 417 days. If it were your job, meaning working for 8 hour a day, it would be 1,251 days, which means about 3 and a half years. But for someone like me/us the number is a way larger! But the important thing, and Brad speaks about it, is to be stubborn, to be CONSISTENT ... just do what you enjoy and do not despair. I have been doing it for years now (in my spare time) and I have finally reached the point where I feel I know something.

What an amazing ride! From Figma design to real web application hosted on the web. This was not my first exposure to the technologies, but using them in this course helped reinforce my comfort level. There were several "Ah ha" moments as I followed Brad throughout this incredible coding journey.

Brad Schiff has the best web development courses on the planet. Excellent teaching, practical, interesting and replicable projects. Brad explains the why of things, without rushing, and keeps the courses up to date. There is no reason to search for videos on the internet when you have a clear and organized learning flow for this price. For those who don't have English as their first language, he uses standard vocabulary that is very easy to understand. For those just starting out, this might be the first course.
