Your lessons are like reference books that would be look back any time to clear something. Your way of teaching is fun and like deep diving under a clear sea and complex topics gets easier to see the details.

This is my third course with Brad, and I’ve really enjoyed it! His teaching style is super clear and easy to follow, which makes learning a lot more fun. I picked up a ton of useful stuff, and even though some of the syntax is a bit "old", the concepts are still totally relevant. Brad also added a few lessons showing how to use more modern approaches, which I actually found after I’d already updated my own code. For example, he mostly uses CommonJS in the course, but I switched everything to ESM myself — and it turned out to be a really fun challenge. I definitely recommend this course (and Brad’s other ones too). He’s a great teacher — thanks again, Brad!

Brad is one of the best instructors on Udemy to learn web development with! I took Brad's first 2 courses about HTML and CSS a while ago and I absolutely loved his way of teaching! However, this particular course seems a bit obsolete when it comes to using certain packages to the point that I never managed to get the second project to work properly... The second half of the course was very frustrating and I spent most of my time googling for solutions and reading the Q&A sections in vain (in a way this must have been a great glimpse of a developer's day at work I guess). I first started this course back in 2020 and gave up after getting stuck too many times and at a time when I wasn't very comfortable with JavaScript. I re-did the course from the beginning 10 months later and I managed to finish it but without getting the complex app to work. I'm going to start Brad's course about React anyway and I will keep an eye out on any upcoming new courses from Brad!

The fluid approach to these lessons make it seem effortless and seamless in the beginning, as I advanced through the course it gets just tough enough. I'd like to say over time software does change instead of rolling software back to make it work, take the time to update your code. it hurts at 1st, I know - hang in there and you'll work it out. I'm still a beginner programmer and this course taught me how it all fits but instead of doing it for me, I had figure it out and not on my own to whole community good Job and thank you

The course is really good, I like how Brad teaches, I appreciate the last cool project, but once we started making projects it's just making me follow along and I don't really understand what's happening or why we're doing somethings that are new. Now, the 10 days of Javascript was awesome that helped me understand Javascript even more. It just lacks some more explanations on the project parts.

This has been a really good course for the following reasons. . It is extremely well scaffolded and it has a great continuity between the sections. It always draws on on what's been done before and takes it a step further, cementing the knowledge and repeating the patterns that you need to get familiar with. . It shows you how to create an entire NodeJS app with a database, login, register, validation and all the bells and whistles. Everything you need. . It has really helped me to have a better understanding of the browser technologies and has cleared a lot of confusion that I had beforehand. I tried another course from another Udemy instructor first that started with React after doing HTML, CSS and browser-based JavaScript and that created a lot of confusion. Routing was a mess in my head, how to update the DOM too, I didn't understand GET/POST requests and I was really confused overall. However, all this has clicked thanks to Brad's style and comprehensive contents (albeit with lots of effor from my part and lots of rewatching sections over and over again, reading documentation and writing notes - as it is to be expected) I have bought now another two courses from Brad and I am looking forward to starting them.

It was a good experience, I want to master this course because of its capabilities, I am a PHP Developer and has limited JavaScript skills before, but now I learned more in this Brad's tutorial. I have watched so many tutorials before, but Brad's explanations skills are really great. Thank you so much Brad you such a great teacher, I'm looking forward for more tutorials from you and God Bless you.

Thanks to Brad. It was a great help for me to how he systematically explained that even beginners like me could at least understand. He is a great teacher. Besides web app creation he also added topics regarding using postman which is helpful for those who are into software automation testing as well as words of wisdom regarding programming best practices.

I really did love this course! For everyone out there looking for a starting point! I believe this would be a good one. Just a note!! This is very fast pacing and challenging!!! There were many moments I had trouble understanding things because it is really fast pacing but stick with that until the end and things will start making sense later on. I highly recommend review things and try to rewrite yourself stuff from memory! Repetition is the key here!

An exceptional course, with very interesting topics and rich insights. The author, a top-level teacher, makes everything engaging and fun by explaining even very complex concepts so that they are understood without excessive effort. Without a doubt the best course I've personally ever followed. Highly recommended!
