Course Description
In this course, you'll learn how to use Vue 3, the Composition API, Quasar V2 and Pinia to create a beautiful cross-platform money management app called Moneyballs - for Web, iOS, Android, Mac & Windows.
In this app, we can add both income and expense entries and keep track of our spending.
All of our income entries are in green and all of our expense entries are in red, with the amounts beautifully formatted as currency.
We can:
View a balance bar along the bottom, which always shows the overall balance of all of our entries.
Edit our entries in place by clicking on the name or the amount field.
Mark an entry as paid by swiping right (and see the balance of our paid entries).
Reorder our entries.
Swipe left to delete our entries.
Moneyballs also has a Settings page with a bunch of different settings.
We can:
Disable the prompt to delete - so that when we swipe left on an entry - it's deleted immediately.
Show a Running Balance, which is displayed under all our entries.
Change the Currency Symbol.
We even have a Dark Mode with a completely different color scheme.
And if we quit and restart our app (or reload the webpage) - all of our entries data and settings data is maintained.
While creating Moneyballs you're also going to use:
Pinia Setup Stores
Quasar Plugins
Custom Directives
Custom Composables
Capacitor plugins
Tons of Quasar Components
And much more...
And we're going to get this app running and working on five different platforms:
Web Browser
iOS
Android
Mac
Windows
iOS & Android apps generated with Quasar (& Capacitor) can actually be deployed to the App Store & Play Store and monetized with in-app purchases, subscriptions and ads.
Mac & Windows apps generated with Quasar (& Electron) can be deployed to the Mac & Windows stores, or distributed online.
For this course, I recommend using a Mac and having a basic understanding of JavaScript, Vue 3 and the Composition API.

I spent 7 years working for various companies in the UK as a Web Developer (both front- and back-end) becoming highly skilled in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP and many more.
After becoming more interested in apps, I worked for 2 years as a Hybrid App Developer, creating cross-platform apps for the charity sector using technologies including Angular, Ionic, Vue.js and more.
I created my own successful app called Fudget (for iOS, Android, Mac & Windows) which is the highest user-rated personal finance app on iOS with over 1.5 million downloads. This eventually enabled me to leave my job and become a full-time Indie App Developer, working on my own apps.
I have a young but successful YouTube channel where I also share coding tutorials.
I'm super excited to share my knowledge on Udemy!

Thanks Danny! Super course with full Vue-Qasar-Pinia basic knowledge and tips and tricks :-) that can be used to make ready-to-go applications.

I've taken several of Danny's courses and have not been disappointed; afterwards I was able to build a multi-platform app for a business client (although I used the HAPI framework as the client's data was stored in an MS SQL database). Danny sticks to the main points and gives you what you need to get started and then some. His courses have become a point of reference for my app development.

I like that course content and the tutor's teaching style. Many times, shows a different way to code more well to us. There is a process problem, because the version is updated and the structure changed. But this is natural for developers. So we need to try to fix firstly, later the tutor is open for help to us :)

This course is great! Thanks a lot for the outstanding work and effort you put into it. I really appreciated the high-quality code. The explanations were really clear and to the point. In the end, the result was a very nice application. Best regards.

Thanks, Mr.Connell!

Thank you, Mr. Danny Connell!

Thank you. I'm a complete newbie, but the instructions were clear and you took the trouble to explain why you were doing something. I learned useful shortcuts, workarounds and much more than I wished for. Your funny comments kept me awake at 2am. You are a professional teacher and your programming style shows that you have a lot of experience in building real life applications. Best regards and see you in the next course ;)

Despite the fact that the course is neither in my native language nor was it run on the same operating system as mine, the course is very understandable and gets all the points across clearly. I can definitely recommend the course. Anyone who already has experience with Vue should take a look at this course. I am already looking forward to the new courses that follow on from this course. At the moment, one of them has just been published.

Like always, Danny did an excellent job of explaining easily, clearly and quickly how things work. This course and tech stack is probably the easiest way for new devs and quickest and most productive for experienced devs to build apps. Highly productive tech stack and perfect instructor. I hope more people new to the field will get to know about Quasar framework. Ive tried many tech stacks over a long time and believe me, none is as efficient and quick as this. Start here.
