Turn an Old PC into a powerful Synology NAS / Media Server (Udemy.com)

At first I couldn't find all the files needed as they were not all shown as separate links.
I realised after a while that all the files were in a zip file called Synologytools!
I'm hoping that there will be some reference to security (given this is quite an old version) and that at the end of the course there is an update. If not, that will be poor as the Course should always be up-to-date.
It's a pity there don't appear to be later versions we can install. I already have two of the genuine Synology NAS devices at home.
It the lecturer reads these comments, perhaps he could let us know about the security issues in using the pretty out-of-date DMS.

While the over all instruction was excellent, the information was COMPLETELY out of date and obsolete. The course should either be updated or have am addendum added to it in order to make it relevant. It is so out of date it is essentially of no practical value.

Its on a acceptable level so far. Not to technical.

It's a good intro to building Synology box. But it is a bit dated. Need to to do additional reading to ensure getting latest information and software.

Too much introduction basicly. Generaly explenation too long

It is a very good course, but there are some differences in actual usage.

Easy to follow instructions directed to a beginning user and everything works as described.

Quick overview of some features sinology has to offer. But this is not an in depth guide. Overall satisfied.
