Course Description

If you want to learn how to use the Arduino but without the frustration of wires and components that don't match, then you will be interested to know that Grove is what you've been looking for.
Grove for Arduino is a system of cables and components that always match.
Instead of messing around with breadboards and jumper wires, and struggling to find matching hardware, you can simply use more than 300 Grove standard components, plug them together, and within seconds you have a circuit ready to program with the standard Arduino IDE.
No more frustration.
Grove for Arduino is an ideal solution for educators and students, but also for Makers, who want to experiment with the Arduino but don't want to have to deal with the common frustrations of wiring.
Think about how much time you have lost troubleshooting problematic wiring on a breadboard!
With Grove, connections are quick and reliable, so you can concentrate on being creative.
In this course, I'm going to show you how to use the Grove system for the Arduino.
It is a course for people who are already familiar with the Arduino. Ideally, you a graduate of Arduino Step by Step Getting Started, and you are comfortable programming the Arduino with the Arduino IDE.
In the course, first I will show you how to use some of the most common Grove components and the Grove Base Shield, and then I will show you how to use these components to create 5 fun projects.
With this knowledge, you can go on to create your own projects. In particular, if you are a teacher, you can use these projects in your classroom.
And if you are a student, you can get inspiration for your own science fair project.
Please have a look at the free lectures for more information about the objectives and structure of this course, and especially the one titled "What is this course about?".
The components I demonstrate in this course are available as a kit from Seeedstudio.
I look forward to seeing you in the course!Who this course is for:
  • Arduino Makers who don't like jumper wires.
  • STEM students that are working on their science faire project.
  • STEM teachers interested in using Arduino and Grove in their class.
