Course Description

WHAT IS VUE JS?
Vue JS is a very popular JavaScript front-end framework that was designed specifically to help you write Web apps faster and more easily than ever before!
Used by companies such as Nintendo, Adobe, GitLab, Baidu and Alibaba, Vue JS is rapidly increasing in popularity, so it's a great time to add it to your CV.
By the end of this course you'll have the skills and confidence you need to use Vue JS on your own projects!
So, no matter whether you're a complete beginner to Vue JS, or an experienced programmer keen to improve your skills, this course is for you!

THE COURSE
Students learn best when they're putting what they learn in to practice straight away, so we've build this course around two really great projects (which will look fantastic in your career portfolio!):

Project 1 - Activity Planner app
In this opening project students build their own activity planner web app! It's a brilliant introduction to the basic concepts of the Vue JS framework, and by the end you'll:
  • Have learnt how to create Vue components, data and methods
  • Know how to create store data into our browser Local Storage.
  • Fully understand Vue JS concepts like data binding, data manipulation, event handling, state management (and much more!)

Project 2 VueMeetuper app
A much more difficult project, but one you'll be proud of completing! Here students take a big step up and build an incredibly functional online meet up web app. Your app will let you make and join various Meetups, create editable threads and dedicated posts, register and authenticate users, build a user profile page and get your location! After doing all that, students will:
  • Be able to manage authentication with JWT (json web tokens) and Session Authentication on the client/server side.
  • Understand forms in JS - including how to integrate and validate plugins, how to use interactive (wizard) forms and how to integrate Datepicker and Timepicker inputs.
  • Create a chat-like functionality using the Socket library (a JS library for realtime web applications) including real-time page updates!
  • Be able to to get location from IP address and use this location to improve user experience!
  • And much more!
With over 31 hours of on-screen instruction, it doesn't matter whether you're planning to start your career as a developer, or just want to improve your programming skills, this is the right course for you!
So what are you waiting for? Enrol now!!

NOTE: Some basic understanding of JavaScript and Node framework recommended (but very basic is fine!) as at one point we switch from our frontend application to our backend Node.js application. HOWEVER(!) the Node sections are completely optional, and you are able to download server code and work only on Vue JS Application.Who this course is for:
  • Beginners new to Vue JS/JS 2
  • This course is for everyone eager to understand how a javascript frameworks work.
  • People eager to learn new knowledge
  • Experienced developers looking to hone their Vue JS/JS 2 skills

My name is Filip Jerga and I am an experienced software engineer and freelance developer. I have a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence and several years of experience working on a wide range of technologies and projects from C++ development for ultrasound devices to modern mobile and web applications in React and Angular.
Throughout my career, I have acquired advanced technical knowledge and the ability to explain programming topics clearly and in detail to a broad audience. I invite you to take my course, where I have put a lot of effort to explain web and software engineering concepts in a detailed, hands-on and understandable way. Best-selling Udemy instructor Rob Percival wants to revolutionize the way people learn to code by making it simple, logical, fun and, above all, accessible. But as just one man, Rob couldn't create all the courses his students - more than half a million of them - wanted.
That's why Rob created Codestars. Together, the instructors that make up the Codestars team create courses on all the topics that students want to learn in the way that students want to learn them: courses that are well-structured, super interactive, and easy to understand. Codestars wants to make it as easy as possible for learners of all ages and levels to build functional websites and apps. Hi! I'm Rob. I have a degree in Mathematics from Cambridge University and you might call me a bit of coding geek.

builds applications from scratch, explaining as the code as he goes along and what he's trying to do. He makes real world mistakes which is refreshing and you see how he goes about debugging the issues

I'm new to Vue. when you start a new lesson with existing code, the lesson gets hard too track because the loads of code and comment get overwhelming and make it hard to understand where you are. Although so far, this lesson has surpassed my expectations, I think people will understand you better if you start each lesson fresh codes.

This course was good at getting me more familiar with Vue.js as someone that has never even done Javascript programming; however, the assignments were not that helpful in digesting the content.
As most of the assignment was copying code from resources or Git, I wasn't really retaining the content. And in earlier lessons the assignments often weren't a test of what was being taught in that lesson. Some sort quiz for code blocks may work better for retaining syntax and package information.

This course is a gem. Everything is explained elaborately.
If you want to be confident enough to work on a real world project after learning vue.js take this course.

I've taken a lot of courses and had the pleasure to experience a variety of instructors. Sometimes they're good, sometimes they're alright, but I've never had a course where the instructor's minimum-explanation teaching style and abundance of errors/mistake bother me as much as this course did. There are so many instances of errors popping up that don't get addressed until a lecture or two later. Many concepts and details get glossed over and doesn't help solidify the student's understanding of important aspects that this course is trying to teach. I luckily took another course on vue and so was able to infer solutions, but for someone trying to learn this from scratch... this aint it chief. Basically, this course is just a collection of a couple vue projects to code-along and speedrun through.

I can say this about this course that Filip has really amazed me by maintaining the intensity throughout such a long course, I really like the style when he goes for debugging after implementing a feature which clears every doubt and the support he provides it feels that he is just a message away if we need any support for any feature

The best VueJS Course.
I'm an experienced VueJS dev but I found this course absolutely helpful.
This is not a toy app course. It is a real-world production-grade development course.
It doesn't matter what other courses you have taken. Take this course.

Was a great primer course for learning Vue.js. I didn't finish the course because I've been programming for 20 years, but I was able to learn enough to start writing my own VueJs apps after doing about half of this course. So, I give him five stars!!!
